  1. All you have to do is upload them, then when you get your listing the way you want it -- click on them and delete them. They will still remain on your listing, but will no longer show up as a list at the bottom.
  2. I do believe that GeoScooter has come up with the answer. Archived caches won't show up in any Pocket Query. If you want the true scoop on your finds, run the "My Finds" query on your pocket query screen. This does show your finds of archived caches. BTW 9Key, that's the way things are done in SA too.
  3. Check out the GSAK forums for Kai Team's "Addlogs Macro"
  4. [quote The "wind" I'm blowing with is what fellow geocachers tell me they want and are excited about. To date, I have 3271 emails in my "feedback/reply" file ... (that's just in the past 6 days) ... and less than 2% are of the "no thanks" variety. Michael J Geocacher Magazine While I wish you nothing but success in your venture, I will say that, speaking for myself, I don't think I'd ever subscribe to a geocaching magazine. I do like to read about the experiences of other cachers, which would make an on-line e-zine perfect for my tastes. I enjoyed many of the article's in Today's Cacher, but from my viewpoint, their downfall seemed to begin when they decided to make it a "paper" magazine. Geocaching is a dynamically changing sport, so would a paper magazine, with it's built-in delays, be the best avenue to entertain/inform the masses? You seem to have thought of all issues and claim to have tons of content, so I again wish you the best. I will still be submitting my articles to TAR.
  5. It's time to throw my $0.02 into this discussion. There are several things that concern me about the "GeocacherMagazine" person. 1. He states he already has enough content for a year. But, he only has 150 finds. How much experience, (and particularly variety of experience) does he have that make him an expert in picking the content others would want to see. 2. As has been said before -- who are the others that make up the "we"? I have a couple of suspicions, that if true, would stop me from supporting his venture. 3. It appears that he's planning on making this a paying venture. Selling subscriptions, etc. I don't believe I could support that, when others are offering to do it out of the love of the sport. Bottom line is that I'm throwing my support to TheAlabamaRambler and his venture and will attempt to write an article this weekend.
  6. All of which brings up the point that if you DO solve a puzzle for a cache, you should feel a moral obligation to never share your solution and/or methods. The cache owner is the only one who should give clues of any type for any of his caches. So, what am I saying? (I don't like the "Phone a friend" a whole lot either.) To me, someone else giving clues to my caches is tantamount to copyright theft. I thought up the idea for the puzzle and implemented it, I should have the fun of watching people either struggle, or find it, and not be frustrated by knowing that one person solved it -- 10 people logged it.

    Double Dipping

It's interesting that the majority of the replies to this are against double posting. I, too, was once against this practice, but have since come to the realization that my enjoyment of this hobby is totally on me. So, while some get fun out of posting a find for finding a cache, then another for taking a picture of themselves in a costume at the cache site, then another for etc, etc, etc, I've stopped worrying about it. I know that my 1200 finds are for 1200 different GC numbers. If they don't mind knowing that their 1200 finds are for 1100 GC numbers, that's fine with me. That said, I still believe in one for one.
