  1. When I installed Metroguide Canada V4, it overwrote the US POI database on my eMap. It's a bit strange to look for the nearest restaurant and be told it's 125 miles NE as you're driving down a road full of them. Anyone know a way to reload the US database, without wiping out the Canadian maps? Wulf
  2. I've seen a few other posts by that same guy in other forums. In the railroad forum he talks about 'fart powered trains', and the shunk forum readers are treated to recipes. I'm sure his mommy'd be sad to see what he's up to. Wulf
  3. *returns munching on a Milk Bone* Oh and Awsome Ev is kewl too. It was really funny watching her slide down that hill on her buht. Wulf
  4. I think Star is a Goddess, and she rocks! Without her, well, that's just too scary to think about. *goes to look for Milk Bones* Wulf
  5. I've heard about this one, but doubt I have the guts to try it. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...56-f5b0614d7404 Not necessarily the hardest cache, but alot of fun (after the fact ) would be the annual Bill & Gary cache in Stony Creek Metropark. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...a5-f7543b047b30 Wulf
  6. You could always head up to Detroit and do Bill & Gary III. We're all in trouble if Fuzzy ever tries something like that Wulf
  7. If you've got the time to do it, Good Dog's Everybodies Zooing It cache is nice. You get to spend time visiting a really nice zoo, and then find a micro. Wulf
  8. I've noticed that when I preview a PQ of locationless caches, I get listings repeating on several pages. Wulf
  9. Ummmm Torry..... You might want to just scroll up and read that one a bit more carefully. LOL I understand there are going to be cachers who live in areas with fewer caches, and they might be the ones who jump start the placements. But the problem I've seen are the '48 hr cachers'. In the span of 48 hours they've got their first find, placed their first cache and retired. How can this be prevented? It can't. Wulf
  10. A few micros in the area where moved by the owner to new locations (0.5 to 3 miles). If they've been moved to new areas, are they considered to be 'new' caches and become 'fair game' again? Wulf
  11. Guess it's really up to you how you want to log. If you only get together as a group occassionally but normally cache alone, then just post logs for yourselves. We've always logged our finds as a team, whether we're together or going solo. Wulf
  12. I sometimes wonder about that myself Windsor's always been more of a suburb of Detroit, so our CAN CON was Friendly Giant and Hockey Night in Canada. Wulf
  13. Maybe they can require everyone to spell words correctly. It's colour, not color! Eh! koo loo koo koo koo koo koo koooooo! Bob & Doug Mac Kenzie
  14. Fundy National Park ? That might be a problem. I'm not sure about your area, but I'm willing to bet that you'll have alot of trouble getting a cache approved in a national park. I'd suggest you contact an approver and check with them before you go out and place the cache. The hike is probably very nice, but do you really want to do it a second time to remove the cache if they say no? Wulf
  15. Having a few finds under your belt will also give you an idea of the types of caches in your area. If they all seem to be the same, you might want to try something different. ie shopping centre micros? place a multi! I'm sorry if the 'experts' seem a bit condescending, but we've all had our share of bad experiences, both in placing and finding. We really are trying to help. Wulf
  16. It was fun. Was nice to finally use my absailing and hang gliding skills. Think it would have been easier if we'd brought an extra 100' of rope and a 10' pole though. I think the best part was tring to reach the 4th stage while avoiding the rabid badgers (the King Cobra near the 2nd stage wasn't as hard as we'd expected since we remembered to bring a mongoose with us this year). I highly recommend this cache to anyone with a few hours to spare curled up in a fetal postion in the woods, wondering how anyone could put together such an evil cache. Wulf
  17. Ranger Doody (he pulled me over one day for not displaying my tag on the motorcycle windshield) Hoody Doody Dookie Hawser (MD)
  18. Out of respexct for the family nature of this site, I'll just suggest the Italian translation of his old name. nella vostra m**** Wulf
  19. Has anyone suggested a 'cache rescue' list. Michigan Geocaching has posted a listing of all archived caches that have not been confirmed removed, and asks it's members to try and visit these locations to verify and if necessary, remove any traces of the cache. Wulf
  20. Just sorta putting it out there as they say. Is there any interest in a informal get together down Windsor way. Nothing fancy, just a bunch of cachers hanging out, trading stories, planning 'stuff', put faces to names. Just a thought. Wulf
  21. Wasn't sure. We had no trouble editting the listing. If an archived cache should not be editable, someone might want to check the code. We'll drop an email and see if we can get this one out there. TY Wulf
  22. Is it enuff to just edit or do we need to email the local approver? Wulf
  23. someone brought up the Jeep TBs. I wonder how many of them will end up on epay. Wulf
