Wulf

Ok, there are several caches within a few miles of this location. The question is....can you name the town this was taken in/near?
Bret
Lafayette, Indiana?

Lead Dog, Patrick, Buddaman and I cached yesterday in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. One of the caches was an EarthCache on the Lake Michigan shoreline in Wisconsin. It was mighty cold! Buddaman logged his 1000th cache on the trip, and all 4 of us earned our Platinum EarthCache Masters pins. I had the longest trip...just over 500 miles roundtrip and 14 1/2 hours...most of it in the back seat of Buddaman's car with Patrick!
CONGRATULATIONS to all 4 of you ! .... Somehow I think you probably deserve a bit more than that even Che !
Is there any reward higher then Platinum .. cuz in tolerance you Deserve one higher then that Che K !

After reading the elog , things have cleared up a bit for me .
I think that none of the parties involved intentionally did anything to hurt each other but because of all the hoopla over the cache "Childs Play" things were done that caused others harm.
The Hoopla being those that kept placing sba notes on the page .
I am satisified that the reviewer was just trying to defuse a situation ( weather he did it in the proper manner or not , I am not so sure ).
I am also further convinced that GG/MP did NOT intentionally give false info , and that the puzzle can be solved as it was posted , and the Cache COULD have been found properly.
GG/MP please come back to us ....
MC you done what you thought may help a situation , wrong or right ... you tried to do a good thing.
Its sad that this thing had to go this far , I am sure we can all get past this thing.

I know that we're all excited by the Colts' win, but I'm wondering what happened to Green Gecko. I just noticed that all of his caches are archived. Does anyone know what's going on?
I don't know what's going on, but I would much rather have seen those caches get adopted out rather than being archived. The agony of trying to solve them needs to be kept alive! (And I mean that in a good way!)
Well that is really really sad , Greengecko challanged all of us to use our wits ... to think outside the box .. to get brain hemmorage's trying to solve these puzzles ...
Could this all be because of some malcontents that find it impossible to solve the puzzles , while the rest of us truely enjoyed the challanges ?
It saddens me greatly to know that the whining of a few may have contributed to the loss of such challanges .
People need to realize that if they are not up to , or simply do not want to complete certain caches they don't have to . They do not need to make it a personal vendetta to have them removed.
TO GreenGecko ... please please reconsider ... there are those of us in Indiana that love the challanges you put forth.

Its not that we "Won't " do a cache on personal property , but We generally choose not to go into someone backyard or front porch unless we have personally already meet the cacher that placed the cache.
Its just kinda creepy knowing that you may not even have the correct yard esp. if a cache like this is placed in an urban setting.

In Indiana we have a "series" of them they are called " Haunted Indiana" and all Indiana Geocachers are welcome to join in the placing of them . We just have to e-mail the cacher whom started this series to get a proper number so to speak.
heres a sample

I am not sure why you are ducking low , you raised a ligitamate point . If there are special requirements , or if podcaches are no longer going to be allowed . The rest of us need to know !
Star
-
Yeah , I attended that one and found a podcache that was waiting approval , in which I deposited 3 TB's.
I put them there because I seen no problem with said cache being approved as it is no different then some
mystery caches we had found that required us to listen to a mp3 file . Be a real shame if these caches were not allowed.

4.6 on 12 active caches ... for the Team
Star
-
Out of 12 active caches ( including one that is temp. disabled) , 8 of them have bookmarks on them
1) 5 bookmarks on it and 9 watchers (1cache)
2) 1 bookmark 3 watchers (2 caches )
3) 3 bookmarks , 2 watchers (1 cache)
4) 2 bookmarks, 6 and 9 watchers (3 caches)
5) 4 bookmarks, 8 watchers ( 1 cache)
6) 0 bookmarks , 2 , 3 and 5 watchers ( 3 caches)
7) 0 bookmarks , 0 watchers ( 1 cache)
We have actually placed 20 caches total but 8 of them are archived for one reason or another , which may or may not alter these results . But I thought I would include only our active caches.....
Not bad if I do say so myself ....

Having never met any Rude cacher face to face .
All I can say is that I have however read some rather rude log entries on cache pages ... most recently one that states because this person couldnt solve a cache puzzle ... the cache should be archived !
Other then that is has been rather pleasant whenever I have meet a fellow geocacher.
I have read rather rude forum posts though !
