  1. So are 1/1 DNFs more valuable than 5/5 DNFs?
  2. But if you don't find the cake, do you get an extra DNF? Is it a pocket DNF?
  3. Can I bring the cake into the box too? Only if you share it with the cat.
  4. Now that brings up an interesting point - if you DNF a cache that was never there, is it REALLY a DNF? After all, how can you not find something that wasn't there to be found in the first place?
  5. Have you tried Sunrise? I finally gave up on Plucker because of the caches that won't load. Haven't had any trouble with them using Sunrise.
  6. Doesn't look like the intermittent bookmark e-mails issue has been solved based on the e-mails I did and didn't receive yesterday and today. So should this be a different thread?
  7. ooooooooo ... Shiny! I'll definitely be buying one of these - beautiful coin.
  8. I've had about the same experience on my bookmark lists.
  9. Decrypted (go on, run those PQs, you know you want to )
  10. Not necessarily - it depends on your GPS. My Explorist 500 stores the hint but only up to a certain character limit (which I don't know off the top of my head.) Just an FYI.
  11. So did REI provide anything in the way of door prizes or specials while the cachers were there or just the room? Did they have a display of possible geo-merchandise? just curious..... As one who's attended two of these events, I can answer that. No. No door prizes, no specials, no display of possible geo-merchandise. Just the room. In fact, you wouldn't even know you were at an REI until you leave the room.

I'd be interested in one of the regulars.
  13. No change to the number I'd already requested. Thanks.
  14. Very cool! But you ought to have a big "Mother Squid" showing the origination point.
  15. Looks like it's on the the "to be fixed" list. In the meantime, have you tried the workaround of selecting 10 per page?
  16. Maybe it would help if I told you how I use it. I use detailed trail guides that I bought for the main trails in the area (Bartram Trail, Benton MacKaye Trail, etc). Trails.com, however, gives me good supplemental information for other trails in the area, since I don't really want to buy every hiking book out there . I know I said I don't like to try free trial periods if I have to use a credit card, but you might want to try that to see if it give the sort of detail you're looking for. If you travel around a lot, it very well might be worth the $50/year.
  17. I subscribed for a year but only when they offered a half price deal - $50 was just a little too steep for me without being able to check it out a little first. (Yes, I know they offer a free trial period but you have to give them your credit card in order to access it and I don't like to do that.) Anyway, I guess I would say I like it for $25 / year but not sure it's worth $50.
  18. I'd like a couple of these.
  19. Just FYI, switching the number of caches displayed works for me as a work around but page refresh does not. Edit: just to clarify, that's for the problem I listed about editing a bookmark.
  20. Yes, it happens to me, too. And this is from the "Bookmark And Ignore Lists / FAQ on new features" topic: so it's been happening for awhile. I also have a related problem. I have a bookmark with 31 items. If I choose to show 50 items per page and edit one of the items on my Bookmark and then hit "visit the Bookmark list", it reverts to showing only 20 items per page but still shows 50 as the limit, and still shows the total at the bottom (in this case 31) with no option to go to the next page (shows page 1 of 1).
  21. My coins are primarily signature items (they aren’t trackable) – I will trade but only in person. I had them made specifically so I could drop them in caches because I really enjoy finding coins in caches myself. I don’t attach a card but I did consider it – I like the idea but I guess I’m just too lazy. I do mention in my log that I’ve dropped one of my coins. I don’t worry too much about people following me around just to pick up my coin. If it happens, it happens – but typically they’re going to have to earn it – I don’t drop my coins in just any cache . And even though I do like to know who picks them up (I keep track of which caches I’ve dropped coins in and who’s picked them up with a Coin Drop bookmark) not everyone logs that they’ve picked up a coin so I try not to lose any sleep over it. It’s just a coin. I guess I’ve always considered sig items as swag and always trade for them. Have fun with your new coin, BTW!
