  1. I have a complete set of the Manhattan series (all 4 - taxi, skateboarder, subway & pigeon), all #159 available for trade. I will only trade them as a complete set. Email if interested.
  2. Another one to add...Worker of Wood (sorry, don't have a front/back picture).
  3. Okay folks...my wording might not be the best (it's been a long day), but here it the goal that we set for our coin: This coin is in search of others of its kind...It wants to travel far and wide in search of any or all of the following: other dragons dragon homes dragon cachers dragon caches I'll probably tweek it a little after vacation...my brain is just too fried right now! So...since it is basically what both chief20r2 and Ryder3 & Better Half suggested, I now offer our eternal gratitude. THANKS! Oh yeh, and if you both email us your snail mail addresses, we'll drop a couple of our DD pins in the mail to you when we get back from vacation (don't get too excited...they are handmade).
  4. It IS a great idea...but already taken by someone else's DD geocoin out in the wild.
  5. We're releasing one of ours into the wild during our vacation...hubby says I'm nuts...but coins are supposed to travel, so we gotta send one out. We're trying to come up with a goal for this coin, and we need it by tonight...so post your suggestions. Best suggestion wins our gratitude (and maybe a couple DD pins to match the coin).
  6. Oooo...hope it wasn't a rental! Payment in Yimes!
  7. And why do you think that I gave it to HER...just to drive you nuts!
  8. We were contacted by one of the folks that received one of our give-away coins (from the MWGB)...and asked if we would like to be first to log it. I felt honored that someone would do that.

    Pins

Ah, yes...Disney Pin trading...another (former) addiction. I made a display box for my daughter's Tinkerbell pins. Instead of using craft foam, I used stiff, black felt. My older daughter has more pins (Stitch), some are still attached to her lanyard (hanging in her room), and some are in a pin trading album.
  10. Wow Jim...you're a pretty big 5-year old!
  11. Thanks, Mandollyn, for posting the metals for us...they were in this looooong thread, somewhere...lol
  12. Yime trees are indiginous to the greater Pittsburgh area...I know of 2 that were pulled out of 2 local caches...you might find one nearby.
  13. Please do! Every picture I take of the gold comes out blurry.
  14. Thanks for everyone's kind words! We are thrilled with how they turned out! Looks like a couple of coins have left the C&P site, and our coin (and 2Golfers) has moved to the first page of the "stock geocoins" on C&P.
  15. I did expect the silver to show on eBay, eventually...since, like you said, commercial coins are fair game...I did not, however, expect to see them there before the sale started.
  16. Five of our new coins were on eBay before they were even on sale at C&P. I was not too happy about that...but not unhappy enough to make a stink about it at the time. I do think I would be upset if I saw one of our LEs for sale there, since the only way to get them is by trading.
  17. The "upcoming coins" section has been updated, so our coin does not show there anymore...thanks Aaron. Our coin & 2golfers are on the second page of geocoins (hit the next button in between the Family geocoin & upcoming coins section on the "stock geocoins" page). No need to resort to that e place yet; they are still available at C&P for less $$. We're off to the Midwest Geobash after our 4th festivities in rainy Canonsburg. Happy Independence Day!
  18. That's exactly what I am looking for...but in a bigger diameter.
  19. Ah...isn't that always the issue! LOL!
  20. When I was younger, my dad belong to a coin collecting club (I guess I can blame my addiction on heredity). He gave a necklace with a coin in it. It had a small piece of metal that wrapped around the outside ridge of the coin, and a small decorative piece screwed it shut on the top, and had an o-ring in it, so you could add it to a chain (necklace, keychain, etc). Through what limited research I've done on the internet, I believe these pieces are called "bezels". I would LOVE to get one for our coin, so I could wear it to events for folks to log. Unfortunately, the ones I've come across are too small for our coin (1.75"). Does anyone know where I can find such an item in a usable size (besides that e place...I've already looked there)? I would think that this might be a good accessory for some of the coin distributors to sell.
  21. 500 minted/350 for sale Thanks go out to everyone that hung in there waiting for our coins to start selling. For those of you that have been into coins as long as us, you know this was not the first slow start to a sale, and, unfortunately, it probably won't be the last (ain't technology grand?). Extra special thanks go to those folks that live in timezones that made ordering a red-eye experience! If ya missed it yesterday, don't worry, you don't have to buy them on that e place yet!
  22. To make it easier for you, here is the direct link to order our coin...DresselDragon geocoin Ooops...didn't even notice that my Yime buddy took care of this for us in an earlier post...thanks DAVE!
