When it takes a few seconds to realise why the cache icons are not appearing on googlemaps...

How am I supposed to find the coords to them? And how do I log em once I do find em?

To be stubborn when I need to be. Hail, false north and +5 miles walking can;t stip me from finding that cache lol. Rely on BRAINS. Not technology. If the trees/clouds/overpass/wrong coords are messing you up use your mind and eyes to find what your after.

I murdered an innocent... sprinler head. I had zeroed in to the GZ and I tapped what looked like a fake sprinkler head and it moved. It was loose so I was able to remove it from the ground with a gentle tug. It came out looking exaclty like a container. I pulled on the look alike container and wet sprinkler innards were inside. Me and Dad cracked up. I wonder if the lawn care people will hear reports of a geyser sighting? I did find the cache so its all good

Try hide and seek a cache and look for the most stars in difficulty/terrain. Good luck

You walk so much you manage to get blisters on your feet even though you have the most comfy boots around. You feel badass scaling steep hills to find a box with a logbook. You feel naked without a GPSr. You walk so much your leg muscles have muscles.

Pencil + knife (to sharpen it) = pretty much foolproof

I found a box of rolling papers near a cache. Thats about it the closest I get to that sort of thing is a TON of beer cans.

I always log a DNF if I did a dilligent search. Today I went looking for a cache and I was looking for 5 minutes and then got caught in a downpour so I decided to postpone my search. To me it is not worth it to log something like that.

If its your break I see no issue. Personally I would not cache while I was supposed to be doing something.

My tip is to know the area, most the time this can help out big time. Here in Washington state only particular areas seem to have meth labs. The more aware you are in general the better.

I do know cachers that uses a garmin for motorcyling and geocaching. He and his wife are dadgum good cachers too.

Stuff? Umm can you be more specific? For containers, get ammo cans at an army surplus or tupperwear at walmart. Geocoins n GPSrs are sold at REI and online. As for swag just give away doodads you don't need that someone else might want to have. Like I am using geocaching to get rid of some old toys that a kid would probably really enjoy :]

Its a park bridge. So city parks dept is who I need to ask mabey?

Ok so someone wrote a bunch of slurs on a bridge near a cache and I want to take plain old grey spray paint to cover it. I am of legal age to buy spraypaint but is it legal to cover graffiti on public park property or not?

If it was something like god loves you I would not really care, sure I am agnostic but im not anti- faith. But garbage like chick tracts I would CITO. Those things are disturbing. I'd rather people come to a faith because it betters them as a person rather than just because they are strong-armed by the fear of hell.

Just let the owner know what happened. I think that taking it was probably the best move you could have made.
