  1. Today I found and small old safe thinking it was the cache I opened it to find a garter snake poor little guy could have smothered so I scooped him up and set him in some tall grass.
  2. Hope this is to your liking https://buy.garmin.com/shop/buymaps.do?null&ra=true
  3. Egypt in one the pyramids, but I think it would be illegal to hide one there.
  4. Not too cheap, but a bit too scary. Maybe you should put in inside a plastic bag. That is sweet! I'd trade for that lol. But yeah put it in a plastic bag or mabey taped to a note card that says "Scorpion metal art by Azisbest."
  5. This one GC1XNF9 was mine. I was having a crappy day. Out of coffee, bus was late, class was stressful and difficult- nothing was going my way unill I found my first large cache with my first travel bug inside it! It made my crappy day into a happy day lol.
  6. I prefer a hoodie with large pockets for the GPS. Carharrt is good if you are looking for something tougher.
  7. Ammo cans do seal. Its user error when people don't know how to close them properly that they get wet inside. One ammo can I found had rusted shut :S I had to rip it open with all my might! So please please PLEASE shut things properly!
  8. I am 5'4'' so I am kinda short- but I am very strong so climbing is easy for me. I like difficult terrain because there is usually climbing involved. As for annoyingly high micros I can bring a folding grabber to retrieve and replace the cache. (if you just have a stick it might not be possible to put it back properly)
  9. I usually find just junk lol. Sometimes there are cool toys and doodads. Then again being 20 I don't find much interest in toys exept I am partial to the occasional matchbox car. I found a box of random toys in my closet so I make a point of putting them in caches since kids will love them and they would otherwise go to waste lol. Stuff like pullbacks, figures, marbles and other cool odds and ends might not be of use to me but someone should like them.
  10. Thank you Danny!! It can vary though, depending upon how many staff are working and what other assignments those staff have so if it takes longer than that just be patient.
  11. How? I don't see a selection on the log page (its a TB pic im trying to do).
  12. Or some other pic uploader to put geocaching related pics up? Or is there a place on geocaching.com that allows you to upload photos from you computer?
  13. I don't have any kids (I'm 20). I don't want any eather (what 20 yo does lol?) I suppose mabey in like 15 years if I had a kid I'd take him/her geocaching.
  14. Found some beer in a cache. I CITO'd it by pouring it out and trashing the bottles as who knows if it was actually beer since they had screw tops not pop tops.
  15. I'd have cito'd them. Its like the geocaching equivelent of junk mail.
  16. I want to make a cache out of fake dog poop, I really don;t think I will as it is a bad idea.
  17. Look for unnatural things and disturbed places. A poking stick is good for heavy brush/places you don't wanna put your hands.
  18. I was riding home from the airport at 3am in Florida. Apparently there are toads that come out at night and hop on the roads at night so we saw one hop and then we heard a "Bonk" on our grill and knew we got one I felt really bad and I wasn't even driving. Sometimes there is nothing you can do. Sometimes its better not to swerve because in certain areas/sitations people can get killed over trying not to kill an animal. I know it sucks hitting them but sometimes its less sad than a head on collision.
  19. I was at a bus stop cache and I was feeling around for a micro when I tapped something soft on the side of the bus stop bench. It was a black widow thank goodness she did not bite me nor did I smoosh her.
  20. Try to get into the mind of the hider. Think where would you hide it if it were your cache. Know what you are looking for if possible. This can clue you into where they put it. Know what kind of disguses are used. Fake rocks, Fake sprinklers, Fake bolts and other things that look like...things. Use your eyes. If you look for unnatural objects or places disturbed by other cachers you have a better chance to find the cache. Seeing as Bob Marley is in your avitar you probly already know this- Be mellow. Getting annoyed or worried when you can't seem to find the cache does not help.
  21. If it has markings on it that show it is truly a geocache I would try to find the code for it on the box. If that is not possible then look for a cache that matches that description. Make sure to look for ones up stream with lots of DNF's. Then contact the owner asking her or him if they are missing their cache. If no one claims it for a long time (couple months) go ahead and use it rather than waste it.
