  1. I would go with unknown. Personally I do the OK, what am I looking for thing and if I am looking for a micro I might not look in something like that. But it is up to you
  2. I found a cache in a cemetary, it was really cool. I like that it was quiet and peaceful. As long as the grounds keepers are ok with it and cachers are respectful to the markers and buried people. (Wait a minute that does not look anything like an earth cache...)
  3. The only thing I have encountered is stinging nettles. I simply washed the area (my forearm) with soap and water. It lasted about 2 days. It was kinda annoying but not too bad.
  4. I'm normally good with puzzles but most geopuzzles confuse me. They don't seem to have good instructions. Even when I think I have it the geochecker isn't happy.
  5. Close the dadgum lid. >< Waterproof containers are not waterproof till they are shut tight.
  6. Its about the HUNT not the FIND. If you relax instead of tense up it helps alot, sometimes people I cache with tense up and rush me. I just chill out and have fun searching. Also look for unnaturals objects and disturbed places. These are good hints. Know what kind of urban hides are done for micros (fence ends, LPC's, key hiders ect)
  7. If it was my cache I would not be mad, so go right ahead. I'd be happy it was still there after the damage. And seeing people find my caches (well only 1 at the moment) makes me happy.
  8. LOL this reminds me of when I was putting back an LPC and the lampskirt slid down on my finger. For a second I was thinking "oh crap there goes a fingertip". I think that most objects can be dangerous. I think most of it is the way people veiw guns. In the hands of intellegent, smart people they pose no danger. In the hands of cruel thoughtless people they are a danger. I agree its not something that should be in a cache but only for the fact that there is no telling what kind of person may open the cache and take the ammo. It could be a normal person who wants to use it for target shooting. It could be a kid that does not know any better and hammers it. It could be someone who uses it for a crime. Its just as bad as a knife, a lighter or any kind of object that is likely to harm someone.
  9. Your GPSr is within arm's reach at all times. Extra points if you accidentally pick it up to make a call or change the TV channel.
  10. GPSr (well, duh) Phone Writing stick Knife (1000 tools in one) Sometimes swag/coins/tb's
  11. For the ones near me. If a TB or Geocoin gets stuck I can liberate it. Also if a geocache has poor maintence and the C/O is far away I can drop them a message asking if they would like me to fix it up.
  12. Well for us city people hiding an ammo can is hard to do in some places. I like bigger caches best but some of the most interesting and clever hides are micros. Plus, for me its not about swag its about the hunt. I prefer the hunting of large caches in the woods but a micro can have its moments. Exept nanos. Even with my tiny fingers I manage to get them stuck in there
  13. Move to seattle- there are no ticks. I am 20 and still dunno what they look like lol.
  14. Bullets can explode if tossed in fire. For the most part they are harmless without a gun.
  15. Ok first of all I am not planning on doing this. Second I want to know if it has already been done. Would it be wrong to magetize a micro to the inside bottom of a lamp skirt? So when you lift it up to get the cache your lifting it up and don't know where it is because its on the inside of the metal skirt and not just chilling with the bolts?
  16. http://www.coincodes.com/activations/Cache...nz-multiple.php There you go
  17. Either sell it cheaply to make someone very happy and get you some extra bux or SWAG. (Make sure to put it in something water proof so if unfound it is not going to get water logged and die)
  18. Looking like a teen is helpful in some cases. If someone sees me geocaching I am not some crazy person, I am a tomboy who got bored and decided to climb a tree or attack some shrubs. I do get kind of worred sometimes when people will assume I am younger than I am and ask me why I am not in school though. I have to explain to people all the time that for college kids class is not in session all day lol.
  19. Wooden nickles rot. I had to cito a few since they were black with mold and threatened the cleanliness of the cache. Go with metal/plastic. I have a key that was someone's trademark that has his screename stamped in it. I found it in my first cache and put it on a chain, I swear it's lucky since when I wear it I tend to find geocaches I search for.
  20. I love the thrill of the hunt and the outdoors.
  21. dadgum... Its giving me false north again.
