  1. I deleted it from my iPad and iPhone years ago, but it still appears in my list of purchased apps (iPhone apps) - I downloaded it to the iPad just to test it out. If you have an option to download it, but it does not show up in your list of purchased apps, you shouldn't be charged if you are using the same account. I have reinstalled several apps that I once bought but did not show up in the purchased list, and have never had a problem (although it is somewhat of a leap of faith).

Yes, I see it and it's still there! Switch from "iPad Apps" to "IPhone Apps" (by tapping the blue "iPad Apps" link in your list of purchased Apps). If the OP wants it, go install it. It supposedly won't be hanging around forever.

  2. I have been a premium member for many years and have the original AND new apps on my iPhone. I paid for the app several years ago. Now, I would like to add the app to my new iPad. When I go to the list of downloaded apps in the Apple Store, the geocaching app does not appear on my list. Therefore, I can't download without paying again. Is there a work around or do I have to shell out again for a second device?

  3. I'm not sure if anyone from HQ is reading this post but I think a TB circulation day is needed. On this day, Groundspeak offers a souvenir to people who place a TB in a cache. Perhaps not a new TB but one that has been sitting around for a while. I think that sometimes people who are new to caching pick up a TB and then never move it along because they haven't gone caching again. Also, some TB's are too big to fit in just any cache and require an ammo can or other big container. Finally, it seems that people forget to log so the TB's look like they are missing. If there was an incentive to get that TB and drop it off, I am wondering if that would answer the question of where have all the TB's gone.

BTW - I have 40 or more in circulation and another 10 tags ready to go. I've noticed that the ones circulating in Europe move a lot faster than the ones in the U.S. The two week suggested holding period is rarely observed. I prefer to think that people are not holding on to TB's as a "prize" but fail to move due to forgetfulness or neglect or apathy.

    That's my 2 cents on TB's,

  4. I will be visiting Sevilla, Granada, Madrid and Cadiz and want to leave some TB's in caches. Do you have any suggestions on favorite caches that are big enough to hold a travel coin or TB the size of a luggage tag?

    Gracias,

  5. Thanks for the tips. I will be in and around Sevilla with side trips planned to Granada and Cadiz. Day trip to Gibraltar. Then, the last five days in Madrid. Not able to get to Barcelona this trip. I've got some TB's to leave so looking for caches big enough to accommodate. I appreciate the suggestion to get on the Spain forum and to contact other cachers.

  6. Does anyone have tips for geocaching while visiting another country? I was OK in Scotland last summer because there was no language barrier. The description and logs posted for most of the caches hidden in Spain are written in Spanish. I'll be bringing an iPad with me and am staying at places with WiFi. And, I'm trying to load my GPS from home with caches close to my hotels. Any other suggestions for a successful caching experience?

  7. What if your screen does not show the list of TB's in your possession? That is what happened to me. I dropped Mortimer the Moose in the original cache on 8/14/10. No cell service so waited until I got home to my computer to log. Then, I tried to edit the log. Neither time did I have the capacity to move one of my TB's. It still shows as in my possession. I'm sure someone else took it by now because it is a popular cache. Plus, the cache has been temporarily deactivated. Do I have to wait until someone else claims that they grabbed it?

Another issue: I picked up a TB at the same time. It was not listed as being in that cache. I wrote the owner who told me it had been missing for a long time. Yesterday, I dropped that TB. Tried to log it as grabbed and dropped today but get an error message that the number I am using is the public number. I swear that I took the number off of the TB. Since I no longer have it, I can't double check. HELP?

  8. Hello,

I bought a Garmin 60Cx in November based on feedback I read on this site. I'm learning to use it and happy with my purchase. Although I've read the manual a bunch of times, I can not figure out how to enter coordinates manually. Can someone please help? I am generally pretty tech savvy but this has me stumped. Thank you!
