  1. It shows on the screen autoroute, wish it'd just show sideways to begin with them is know or needed rotating :-P
  2. @Trish - I've disabled the auto spin amd set it to default landscape for photos, it seems to just spin them around if it thinks the orientation is 'best' in portrait, it's weird.
  3. I think it might be down to the submission listing jumping from Deg Decimal to Degree Min.Decimal during submission stage. I have submitted a few in the last couple of days which are hundreds of metres from where I typed them in being, even after redoing it. It's a little strange, Thank you to the UK Benchmarks team for pesisting with me to get the coords sorted. Anyone else had this happen?
  4. After being away from Waymarking for a while. 600 days I think (Mainly down to having twins and my laptop with all my photos going to Silicone Heaven). I have returned but now I am on Android entirely. I've had a few issues with coordinates altering when typed in, it not me miss typing, just things jumping around. Has anyone had any similar issue and found a browser app that works better?)(I'm on Firefox BETA) Also images jumping from portrait in view to landscape when uploaded, its a small thing but an utter pain to realise until it's been uploaded. I know you can rotate images in most photoshoping programmes but it's a pain that they show in portrait, until uploaded, it's hard to spot which ones you've spun already, and which the phone has done just for the phone. Ta.
  5. Wow! I need to get more organized. I know that I have a lot of pictures laying in wait, but that is awesome that you know how many you have! Heck, I don't even have a to do box! It's cool that even in a hobby/addiction that we all share and never actually see each other, I can still learn so much from all you guys - If I just remember to pay attention. lol, its just the count on the side bar of my photo folder,.. not a todo waymark count, I wish
  6. * looks at 1103 pictures in 'to-do' box.... hmmm, maybe should get some of these done
  7. would love one on android that I could load the UK database onto ;-)
  8. mine, hmmmmmm stop in more villages I drive past every day as I have started doing, and try to look up more and get my Dated building up higher, there are so many here in South/North Wales, i've never noticed. Also start using the Trig pointing sortware I've made to actually make a .csv file to load onto my gps app on my phone, so many uk trigs I must not realise i'm close to everyday. So, nothing exact, just general.
  9. As mentioned the spin off would be included, including The Sarah Jane adventures and Torchwood, inc Children of Earth and Miracle day (the BBC and USA joint adventure), its all part of the same univers so all should be included. p.s - no alien coordinates will be accepted without pictures of the location ;-)
  10. Well, I have some doubts about this type of category, although there are a few similar ones. First, is this confined just to sites in the UK? -simply no. Half of the new series was filmed in the US, and Torchwood (as I stated spin offs should be included as they are part of the DR WHO universe should of course be included) Second, although this show does have a cult following, does it have enough general interest to make a good Waymarking category? Is there room for these niche categories with appeal to a small group? -again good point, hence the discussion here, some links to sites can be found here;- http://www.doctorwholocations.net/ Third, can these potential waymarks be clearly identified and associated with specific geographic coordinates? Locations of filming, places included in specific plot situations in episodes, props on perminent display. There was a museam in Llangollen until 2000 that had half a dozen darleks on display, shame its gone now. I think this idea has some merit, but these are questions that need to be answered. -very glad you asked them, all part of the refining process.
  11. How would people feel about a category for all props and locations for the modern and old series of series of dr who, the British scifi show that has a massive international following. a bit from wikipedia:- "Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord—a time travelling, humanoid alien known as the Doctor. He explores the universe in his 'TARDIS', a sentient, telepathic time-and-space-travel machine that flies through the time vortex. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, a common sight in Britain in 1963, when the series first aired. Along with a succession of companions, the Doctor faces a variety of foes while working to save civilisations, help ordinary people, and right wrongs." Mulling over using the locations of props, official to the series, for example a darlek, or a cyberman suit etc... in location on perminent display, along with locations that have been used in the series. Also considering allowing torchwood locations to be included as it is part of the Dr Who universe. Ideas?
  12. not enough interest in this one then, i'll ditch the idea, unless someone else wants to take it up.
  13. merry chirstmas to all, and to all a good nighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhtttttttttttttttttttttt..................
  14. as he said, go to the picture you want as primary, select the option as the bottom for primary and walla.
  15. welcome, I keep popping in and out of this forum as I keep forgetting my login, but welcome, it is always worth trying some thing new even if you are unsure, give it a go, what have you got to loose?
  16. define: ugly. i like the idea, but very hard to define.
  17. The Welsh blood in me wants to help, it would be my need as a Dragon-born! Cymru am byth!
  18. But if there are 2 plaques in entirely different locations how do you decide which plaque is the more important from the point of view choosing the co-ordinates to use. Or if it's the village that's being way marked then how would you decide whereabouts in the village you would pick the co-ordinates? Thats why I was considering simply the most recent one, makes it more straight forward.
