  1. You could always email the owner of the cache and let them know it's filled with trash and they may want to clean it out. I received an email the other day from someone suggesting that on one of my caches that's been in place for years. I did go out and check up on it, really didn't find anything I considered trash (I've seen much worse) so I just added a few new items to freshen it up a bit.
  2. Have a picture of the real coin yet and can we still order?
  3. I would love to help get an event together. Need to do a bit of research first. I had sent Geocaching.com an email asking them if they could give me some ideas on how to start a organization for the Black Hills, or if they could give me the name of a group in another state to contact for ideas, but they never replied to my email. So yes forming a Black Hills Group and having an event would be fun. Count me in.
  4. Hey thanks for the entertainment......some of you had me laughing. I found my little yellow Jeep yesterday. I think it's pretty cool, but then I'm not an expert on die cast vehicles, just wanted it for my collection. I won't be using it for any kind of heavy duty work.
  5. Just spoke to my ISP tech support. My Geocaching watch list notifications and weekly updates are being blocked as SPAM because of a new filter they have applied. It includes the same words in the subject line that Groundspeak uses along with spammers. So I'm told. They are going to take my account off spam filters for the time being. I'll see how many spam emails I get along with my Geocaching/Groundspeak emails. They are working on a better system that will allow their customers to have more control over the type of filters that are applied to their account. So hopefully the SPAM won't be over whelming. (yeah right!)
  6. Mopar this thread didn't start out as a RR problem. But someone made the suggestion that it may be the problem. In my case I'm not a Roadrunner user so.......who knows. I have contacted my ISP and am waiting for a reply. Hope we can get this fixed soon.
  7. And what can we do if we're not using Roadrunner and we're having the same problem?
  8. I haven't been receiving notifications on finds being logged on my caches for about a month I'd say. Also I no longer receive the weekly notification of new caches in my area. I'm not a Roadrunner user. Have checked my page and everything is the same as before as far as my watch list, caches hid, etc.
  9. IndyTycoon, Hi, I'm Rubber Ducky's sister. Are you coming out for the Sturgis Rally by chance? The Golden 50th Cache in Custer State Park is a nice one. There are lots of geocaches in the hills, but unlike most my geocaching expriences in Indy. They take longer to drive to and then you have to hike in. You might try Buzzard's Roost by Dakota Bugs. It has quite the view.
  10. Yahoo map & driving directions also a good map. Type in Rapid City, SD to Stratosphere Bowl, SD and there you have it. It's a pretty cool place and there was a cache hidden up there. Might still be.
  11. Oh I like those too. Nothing irks me more than to witness some jerk throwing a cigarette out the window! We had a woman from out of state throw out a lit cig while passing one of our may hills fires this summer, unbelievable. Luckily she got caught and fined. Just don't understand some people. 13. Go ahead a keep it if you want. I purchased some of the Canadian Geocoins and placed some in a cache for family members to find at a reunion. If they choose to keep it as a momento that's fine, if they can bear to let it go that's okay too. I'm keeping one for myself of course!
  14. Hello Phantom4099, There are several B.H. Geocachers in this area. Haven't seen any of them post on the forums tho. Maybe they're actually getting something else done around the house, ha! Happy Geocaching, Spring is Here *

  16. My brother introduced me to GeoCaching while I was visiting him and his family. I tried out a Legend while there, and when I got back home I ordered one for myself. The rest is history, I love this healthy addiction!

  18. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost to have the stickers done up? That's a neat idea putting them in caches, makes it a nice find. Unlike the one we found today. Somebody cleaned out there OLD junk drawer, ha! Dakota Ladybug

  20. My Golden Retriever is 10 years old and loves to go with me everywhere I go. He's in alot better shape than I when it comes to hiking the steep terrain. I love this new outdoor hobby, I get to spend even more quality time with my dog! [This message was edited by Dakota Ladybug on April 03, 2002 at 08:21 PM.]
  21. I was surprised when I read this thread yesterday. I hadn't encounter any problems when going from forum to forum. Now tonight I have only encountered one error page. Why are some getting alot of errors and some of us very very few? Just wondering......
