  1. Uh Oh!!! Haven't had good internet due to our travels. Just now catching up on this thread. We were encouraged at first when we read that it was going to take awhile for many to put their missions together. Then, towards the end (at least just before this one) people are posting that they're receiving theirs. We've not had good luck finding the pieces to go with the first coin we chose. If we were home we'd have had no trouble. Just decided to switch coins, so we're starting all over - not that we got very far. Sorry recipient.
  2. Email sent:6-12-11 Name received: 6-27-11 Package sent: Package received: This one promises to be interesting to put together. We're on the road for the next month. At least I thought to bring our coins along. Hope we can get one of those to work out ok.
  3. Many of our trackables say they want to travel from cache to cache. (We don't have a Jeep either.) We love watching them and seeing where they go. We don't care if one person takes them on a caching trip and logs them as they travel. In fact, we find that interesting. We do the same with certain coins, depending on their goal. I just learned that "visiting" doesn't send them the log we created. That's too bad, but at least they can see it's still traveling. Now I'll start dipping when we go to an interesting cache with it. I don't see the point in logging 100 coins as you travel. That doesn't make sense, but I doubt that there are ten geocachers that do this. Certainly not enough to create a "knee-jerk" rule to regulate it.
  4. Love Missions!!! We're in. Email sent:6-12-11 Name received: Package sent: Package received:
  5. I really like the gray - black nickel. The guys look more ephemeral? I'll take one!
  6. VERY Nice - story and coin. What a wonderful intro for the Welsh Red Dragons.
  7. Email sent: May 4, 2011 Name received: May 16, 2011 Package sent: May 23, 2011 Package received: May 19, 2011 Mission Complete. Thanks Team Luvbassn!!!
  8. There's another great way to get FREE coins. EVENTS!!! Most local events have drawings for coins, shirts, cache containers, etc. I've received several free coins by being there, participating, and being lucky. I've also donated coins to share the wealth. An added bonus is meeting like-minded cachers - well - actually - that's the purpose.
  9. Can you add us to the list as well? Snoopy is my wife's favorite cartoon character. She's better with my coin purchases if I get some she likes too. Thanks.
  10. If it doesn't have a tracking number on it, you can do one of several things with it: 1. Treat it as "swag" - exchanging it for something of equal or greater value. Then you have the choice of either moving it to another cache, or keeping it. 2. Do as you did and leave it for other cachers. Edited to add - Welcome to the Forums!

  12. Email sent: May 4, 2011 Name received: May 16, 2011 Package sent: Working on it Package received: May 19, 2011 WOW!!! Thanks FStop64!!! I was very surprised. I wasn't expecting to receive this mission so fast. I wasn't expecting a box. (Wifey's asking what geocoin grab bag I ordered now. ) And especially wasn't expecting all those goodies. As Team Luvbassn said "The mission you selected is what you are sending, not necessarily what you might get." No regrets here! Wifey claimed the colored chocolate starfish on a stick, just after she ate one of the "saltwater" taffy's. Being fellow Floridians, we love your locality theme. The starfish ornaments are hanging out with our small shell collection. We always thought it was so interesting to be able to pick up pre-historic shark's teeth at Venice Beach (hard to see in the picture). Raymond the Manta Ray is really cool. Great write up for him. We remember the "stingray shuffle" when we're at a Gulfcoast beach. The starfish geocoins are great! I collect Florida/water-based coins and didn't have these in my collection yet. Now I do - THANKS!

  14. Email sent. Our first Math Trade. Looking forward to the excitement.
  15. Whoa! Sorry! Didn't mean to create all this cornfusion. Thought I'd try a simple question to get the timin' down. I did not assign us a number as suggested in #6 because we weren't signin' up yet, so please differ to the above list - far as I can determine. There ya go LadyBee4T!
  16. Sounds like fun. Any idea when this will start? We'll be traveling some this summer. We can pop on the list now or wait a bit.
  17. Email sent: May 4, 2011 Name received: Package sent: Package received: KISS - Note & Coins International OK Favorites are National Parks, Beer, Horses and Florida (not necessarily in that order ).
  18. And yet they sailed on towards...
  19. I'm not sure as to the point of this thread/topic. Could someone enlighten me?
  20. WE WIN! Received our second bag today with a non-trackable South Pole Benchmark. It says trackable, but the space for the number is blank. Sample?
  21. If your event is in the summer, we'll be there. We've got Griz family in Missoula. Wifey would move there in a heartbeat! She's always looking at real estate ads.
  22. I like the coin with the first font, but there is something about it that seems a little odd. The different sizes for the names. Is there some reason the Sea of Rains and Ocean of Storms are larger?
