i decided to take this helpful mantra a step further. i now carry extra logs and cache containers.
when i go out now, if i suspect the cache has been muggled, i place a new container in log where i think the most likely spot is.

...or do a school Waymarking catagory.
It probably won't fly there, either. The idea has been shot down a few times in the forums. If you think you'd look suspicious geocaching near a school, try adding a camera to the mix.
...add to that the fact that 1/3 of the geocaching population is kept at a court ordered distance from schools.

no clue, suppose only the reviewer can give the detail.

it says "i have lots of extra cache to spend"

what about bob?
(whoops... wrong thread)

off topic question, but what is the local forums url?
the regular or the platinum?

what a crappy hider.

find someone with some property, get a few of these:
make it a four stage multi.

I don't know yet. I'm a freshman....
Who wants to join a club run by a freshman? Us seniors are too cool.
free bump for the senior lump.

there is only

Drat, I want some of that tape and I was just in Walgreens yesterday. I didn't even think to look there.
it is right next to the Gold Bond.

Secret Guideline 3a:
The geocache hider may not complain about lazy finders of his/her 5-star puzzle cache who take short-cuts like Phone-A-Friend (PAF) in order to log a find.
-
i replace logs to be mean.

whatever you do... you may NOT trade out a dirty diaper for any swag in a cache.
sorry... we gotta have standards!

cutter is the brand that i had the most success with in the ozarks.
growing up in the region, we did a LOT of camping there. no real avoidance of the ticks unless you just don't go outside.

Here are a few I don't like:
1. Caches behind businesses.
2. Caches at private homes.
3. Caches at playgrounds.
Basically, I don't like any location where my searching is going to make someone else uncomfortable.
it isn't the location that is making people uncomfortable... if you'd stop caching in the nude people might be more receptive.

whatever the name.... we have one in the area who is notorious for trading down. he'll put it in his online log too... "took oakley sunglasses, left stick"
and he means a stick he picked up at the cache site.
basically, you know these people exist. if you can't stand to see something end up out of circulation (including the precious geocoins) don't put them in a cache to begin with. as for going out hunting for caches that might have good swag and finding a box of rocks, sticks, business cards and bottle tops, that a let down. as is always pointed out in other topics, some people play the game differently. some people seem to play to see how many times they can get away with stuffing a cache full of sticks and rocks.

552 for 10 miles of me.
if i were on the north end of town 1207.... most of the difference is based on a very small number of very active hiders.

I am an opportunistic cacher. I do not have time to do all the caches in my area, so I am selective to the caches that are of interest to me. I have passed many sites to find the caches that had a little spice added to them. These Caches attracted my attention and brought me to areas I wouldn't bother with because of the added historical information put on the cache page.
isn't that Waymarking?

I still say all you bozos are wrong and Clay Aiken was ROBBED.
i was going to jump in and apologize... but i see that won't be necessary.

One of my least favorite cache locations from a few years ago.
...and you CITO'd the whole thing. that's what is great about it!

This is a funny forum. I have never been a part of a forum that misreads what people are typing as much as this one.
i agree with that.... too many uptight, wet blanket types that take themselves way too serious. it is much easier to sit on the sidelines and watch them jump at every mistype.

found one like that... except it wasn't a rock. it was a tube which had been inserted into the ground to serve as a trenching wall for the bison tube that was inserted. the hole was then covered with something that looked like it might belong there flush with the ground. the good news was the coordinates were only off by 20 feet.
And another by the same hider, a hide a key rock in the middle of a field, with tons of small rocks, and the coords ended up being 27 feet off:
Is a pub micro series better?

the best kind of pub series isn't really allowed anymore.
although..... if you made sure all of the containers could hold a token/coupon for a free drink at the particular pub... that'd be great!
