Is the 550 worth buying compared to the 450, just because it has a camera?

What makes you think that? Well...I don't know...!!! I have googled it a couple of times, but no one has posted any date or approximate date on when it is released so how do YOU know what "third quarter" means?

Sure, the dakota 10 is touchscreen but if you can wait, I would even suggest trying to get the new Etrex 20 or 30 models. They are supposably going to be great! This is a good point as well. The problem is they will not be out till the 3rd quarter of 2011. On paper they look great. They will have all the features of the current etrex units but also do paperless caching. The one downside is there are only three models of the new etrex instead of 6 as there is now, this means only three price points instead of six. The unit at the Venture HC price point of $119 (MSRP) will be the etrex 10 which has a black&white/monochrome screen. If this isn't a deal breaker for you and don't mind waiting a few months it might be a good bet. Yeah, at first I was thinking about getting an Oregon or Dakota, but then I decided on the Etrex 30, even if I do have to wait. Because I really do like the Etrex series and I'm not sure I would like the touchscreen on the other units. BTW, isn't the 3rd quarter of 2011 ending like on June 30? So really, we might only have to wait a few weeks! Or am I wrong?

Who has more then 1,000 hides?!?!? :o :o :o You can't create a PQ based on "hidden by" username. I never knew that! Then, again, I never had a reason to run that kind of pocket query... Yeah, why would you ever need to anyway? ... very simple, because some cachers have great hides and i would like to do them all Yeah, I already posted that... up there ...

Yes. Its called using a Pocket Query. If you go to this URL ( http://www.geocaching.com/pocket/ ), you can build a Pocket Query and use the "attributes" section to include only geocaches that require a flashlight. Then you will get a list back of theses types of geocaches that are near whatever location you put in. For more information on building Pocket Queries, watch this:

This is a good way. Another is to download a pocket query to GSAK and filter by the username that hid it and then save the results and open them in a map. Your way is probably easier except if there are multiple pages of hidden caches, it might take a little while to download them all...

So... you had a eTrex H, bought a HC, has not enough money for anything else, but want to know if you should get a 550t or a 62st, while in the meantime eyeing the Montana as well as the new eTrex 20 / 30? Wow! You're good!

I know! I just bought a venture hc and I'm mad that I did! It definitely won't sell for as much as I bought it for and if it does even get me 80 dollars and if I sell my Etrex H for 60 or 50, then that leaves me to find the other 120 dollars!!

They have to accept your friend request...Its just like any other site with friends! You can't just become their friend without them saying yes!!
