  1. Great! I know all of you by reputation, if not in person, so no background checks will be needed, then ! How about this Friday or Saturday evening? Will you be over your cold by then, Jester? Do we want to do them both on the same night, or different nights? I also want to do Jester's cache that hydnsek mentioned sometime.
  2. Congrats to Evergreenhiker! on his 3rd anniversary of geocaching! Man, I'm a newbie! He celebrated by caching sans gps- only a map and the cache page. You da man. EGH! Congrats on 3 great years of fun and here's to adventures to come!
  3. Hey all- there's a couple of night caches here on the eastside that I would love to look for, but would like some company of the safe variety for safety reasons (see thistopic). The two I am thinking about are GCMGE9 and GCMDDM. Anyone interested?
  4. Sorry- my telepathy isn't what it used to be! Believe me, if I had had anyone's cell phone #- I would have been calling the minute I passed the first set of women's clothing lying on the side of the trail there! :shiver: And hey- what's up with this Camp Long place being closed on Sundays! We went over there to find some of your caches and were turned away! The reason I like Seattle parks is that they don't all close at dusk. Bummer- looks like they are open on Sundays starting tomorrow. Just our luck! Tell Baxter we're sorry we couldn't visit his cache.
  5. How funny! I just checked my pda and it says we logged it at 4:29pm. You must have just missed us! I would have loved the company at Pee Wee. Tho I think that one has been around awhile, so I'm sure you've already been there. Sorry we missed ya!
  6. I haven't done any on Tiger and would be happy there, but I think I'm leaning towards doing GeoRoo's caches. There are quite a few up there and in a very pretty area. It would be a change of scenery from what we did before!
  7. Raining today- back to sewing, eh Allanon?
  8. Wow, a milestone and a proposal- you guys know how to celebrate! Congratulations and all the best!
  9. We need some eastside discussion here! Not that I can think of anything interesting to say...
  10. Congrats Palm Grunt and Ray&Rose! Way to go! I am happy to report that I marked my 600th cache on Thursday at nolenator's Wow, what a view!. It's a great cache- come out and find a great view of the valley!
  11. The new caches on the other side of Squak?
  12. Way to go Kitelady and Cruiser Guy!
  13. Oh, I think people definitely want those low numbers!
  14. Wah, I've fallen way behind in my congrating! Congrats to everyone!
  15. I'll be staying at the La Quinta as well- with the whole family. Which brings me to my second topic- Husband and kids will be using the family van on Saturday to see the area while I do the cache machine: Is there anyone I can cache with during the day?
  16. I can adopt the trestle cache- I've been waiting til drier weather to find it, but I live pretty close. I'll give you a call.
  17. Congratulations!!! Such a cute little round head . She's adorable- here's wishing you all much health and happiness. (And I'm partial to baby girls myself)!
  18. Well *that* was a surprise! Yay! An ignore function! Now if only I could apply that in RL as well! LOL Keep up the good work!
  19. How horrible! At first I thought you meant he had been killed geocaching, but this is even worse. Just shows how things can change in the blink of an eye. His family is in our prayers.
  20. Way to go AnalogDog! 100 is a wonderful milestone! The finds really start to add up after that first 100. Wonder if it takes that long to build up the 'geosense'.
  21. Just curious- I have an MA in Anthro from the UW... are you taking the ethnography class there? Is Dr. Green still teaching it? I wrote my paper on geneologists at the LDS archives in Bellevue. Geocaching definitely has its own culture- language, clothes, behavior, norms... I'll work on your question tomorrow. Glad to help out.
  22. Congrats to grossi, tolmaus, and evergreenhiker! for their milestones today! And congrats to blindleader for his #1100 today!
  23. 1)My vote is for Mt. St. Helens. No real preference for which time period- I think color helps our coins stand out, tho. I still like The Evergreen State motto- and something about it being the 25th Anniversary.
