schnookies: One possibility is the cartridge's author didn't include a message box telling players the unlock code. Some authors mark a cartridge as unlocked instead of showing the code (I do this on a few of my cartridges). Unfortunately, most of the third-party players do not produce save files that can be read by the Wherigo site. A save file is needed to unlock a cartridge if you don't have a completion code (of course, if the cartridge's author didn't include code to mark the cartridge as complete, anyway, the save file will do you little good). If you still need a completion code, I can provide a way for you to unlock the cartridge if I know which one it is.

TheHarvesters: Yeah, I know that looks like teasing. The thing is, I don't know enough to be fully conversant on the topic, so saying anything more could do more harm than good, as there won't be anyone to answer the questions that will arise. Still, I wanted to point that much out to indicate Groundspeak is working on something apart from the geocaching site.

  2. do you know how i give it permission????

To give an app permission, go to Settings: General: Location Services. Find the app in the list and switch it to "ON". Also, make sure, at the top, that Location Services is turned on.

THANKS SO MUCH!! all the above was accurate and i did my first Wherigo via pigo today!! THANK YOU!! :)

  3. All I can say is, it works for me. I have an iPhone4 and I completed 2 Wherigos the other day using PiGo. It sounds like maybe the PiGo app doesn't have permission to use the location data on your iPhone. - JR

  4. so...i downloaded pigo, had the sign in problem and couldn't get cartridges...the sign in to Wherigo on safari then go back to pigo worked for me...so i've managed to download several cartidges and went out yesterday to try it out...my problem NOW is that the program had no idea where i was on the earth....my gps was working cuz i could geocache with it and my maps app knew where i was but pigo was an epic failure cuz i couldn't find any zones since it had me at the default location of the cross of the prime meridian and the equator!! lol anyone else? and if not any suggestions? is there something i'm missing? THANKS ALL!

  5. I downloaded the app and shut my iphone down and restarted. The app starts but I cannot download cartridges. When I get to a cartridge page, I am prompted to sign in, when I click "Sign In", all I get is a javascript popup. I can sign in on the "My Home" page but when I go back to the cartridge page I am logged out. Anyone?

I too am having this problem!!! Anyone!?!?

  7. greetings fellow cachers! i'm in a bit of a pickle. the family and i have just moved to germany from america, where we were avid geocachers. we use a pda with gps. getting ready for our first geocache overseas i discovered my terrain maps provider doesn't have a whole lot of overseas stuff. so, now my question is, is there other software out there for my palm with plenty of european terrain maps or should i break down and buy a new gps system or what what what!?!? recommendations?? thanks!!
