  1. So I open a package today and what should appear...a cute red stocking stuffed full geocoins!!! I dump and start sorting...my heart's beating fast...some traders, some new coins...a Holiday Gnome!!!...and stuck in the toe...a shiny gold glow...what is it?...what is it?...I really want to know...with much bumping and tugging I finally retrieve it...A GOLD CRAPPY CACHE AWARD...ROFL... Definitely better to get one in a Christmas stocking than a hide!! What's even funnier, I finally gave up on ever finding or trading for an original and just received the nickel one I bought off ebay yesterday! Two Crappy Cache Awards in two days...am I lucky...or is this a hint???
  2. Zip-a-dee-do-dah...one of these cute little guys crawled into my stocking also!!! Thank you, Holiday Gnome!

  12. This poor topic will probably come up as long as there are geocoins, and an ebay to sell them on... As someone said earlier, we ca express our personal opinions, but we are probably not going to change anyone's mind...that being said, here's my two cents worth... A gift is a gift...something you give to someone free and clear of all strings...who hasn't received the equivalent of Gradma's hand-knitted sweater in scratchy wool? You love it because she made it for you, but you never wear it 'cause it itches too much...sooner or later it goes to Goodwill... A trade is not a gift...it's more like a barter..."equal" items are exchanged...sometimes codicils are attached..."please don't sell this coin"...by agreeing to the trade, you agree to the attachment...if you later sell it, you have violated the terms of the trade and will suffer the consequences of that action...bad karma... Everyone has to live within their own moral code...common courtesy would dictate that, at the very least you contact the person with the "please don't sell guideline", explain your circumstances, and give them the opportunity to "buy" back the coin, either for cash or another coin... My sister and I share a personal coin that has never been for sale.(except for donations to charity auctions)..all have been traded to other geocoin fans...so far I have only seen 3 available on ebay...did that hurt my feelings? Yeah, a little bit...since two of them were people I traded with...and they didn't sell them because they were in dire straits...nobody knows us, so we don't fetch the big bucks...lol...I got over it...they live with the karma of violating my trust...and go on my do not trade with list! All this rambling is meant to say simply, show some respect for your fellow geocoin freaks...er...fans...if someone asks you not to sell their coin, give them the opportunity to "buy" it back from you before you hit the ebay listing...I think the people who feel strongly about their coins will answer their emails promptly when confronted with this situation... I guess that was clear an mud and covered the ground...lol

Another Secret Mission...I was suffering withdrawal when we didn't have a Halloween mission...lol...Thanks, CinemaBoxers, for feeding my addiction!
  14. Just my 2 cents worth...I sure like the idea of sending 2 coins with the expectation that one will be released...receiver's choice...... And having all the released coins have the WEGE prefix would be great...like Snooguns 6 Degrees of Separation caches started at GW4...I sure hope I'm one of the "chosen" 100...lol
  15. Have a fantasmagorical traip!!! Hope Mrs P, feels better, and, finally put me down for a coin when you're ready to sell...
  16. The specific coin you are looking for is called the "Code Three" coin...it was produced by a couple of Firefighters/Emts...the only place I've ever seen it is on ebay...there is usually one on there every week or two...I looked through my receipts to find an email address but was unsuccessful...if I come up with it, I'll send it on to you...great news on your geocaching friend's cousin...
  17. The mail person brought the most wonderous package today...my final Geocoin Anniversary Buddy Bundle...lol I received a GW5 sfw chick, my FIRST MWGB Frogprince (gsfg), a Moun10Like Bronze, a Sniperchicken Satin Gold, a De Cache Liber Antique Silver, and a Geotoids Copper!!! Now, explain how you got greensfgiant into that little fishbowl?!?! I just loved all the coins...thank you for your overwhelming generosity, sfwife!!
  18. "Team OleOmi" is correct in post #89...just make sure the e and i are in the right place...lol... We ordered 40 coins, so we'll be up for a trade or 2... Glad you're doing this Landsharkz, your coins and service from both locations are outstanding! Mr. Explorer...you did a stupendeous job...thanks for letting the "old farts" on the Team... Since both the Hockey teams they have tried to establish in Texarkana, Texas have failed...I'm sure we can find some skates and sticks at the arena...lol Oh, the invoice is paid....We be ready for some HOCKEY!
  19. Email sent for #35...two old Buffalo gals who love Hockey and have been friends for 35 years...this year!
  20. Mission # 2 received!! And all the way from New Zealand... KeeWe sent a wonderful package...the first thing I found was a "Post Card" of a family BBQ with 2 dogs hiding behind a tree...the first dog (holding a bent spatula) is explaing to the other that "It's spring-hinged...he'll be dropping food left and right and we'll be living large..." Being "owned" by a 108lb Black Lab, this had me rofl...next came a cute litttle stuffed Kiwi...then a I love NZ flip flop magnet...then, a #26 KeeWee signature token with a neat pictorial card explaining the Kiwi bird to us ...and, for the grand finale...a New Zealand Fern coin!!! I have tried 3 times to buy this coin on ebay and was always outbid...I had given up all hope of ever having one...Thank you, Thank you, KeeWee...watch out for those Kiwi claws when night caching...lol
  21. I reuse every mailer I can...the latest was a really neat padded envelope from Cheesy Pigs...came from Tasmania...to Texas...now on it's way to Team NAB in Tennessee...
  22. The mailperson arrived yesterday with this strange lumpy white international padded envelope...I figured it was some coins I had ordered from Germany, until I took a closer look...Tasmania??? I opened it up to find a most beautiful gift tag saying "Happy 6 Geocoin Anniversary"...oh wow, a lovely bookmark with a picture of a Giant Petrel feather lying on Cotula leaves...a booklet of photographs of Cradle Mountain...some Tasmanian rocks...all of the above instantly claimed by the Omi half of the team...she loved it all, and, adored the rocks!! A a small white gift box...which I opened to find...an Artist Edition Independence Day coin and an AE? Bronze Zion Nation Park Round!!!! I cannot thank you enough...my geocoin buddy is just too generous...I am absolutely overwhelmed...Thank You, Thank You, Thank You...my secret geocoin anniversary buddy...am I right that there might be some pork involved in this package?? Still waiting on my secord mission, but there is almost a month to go...lol
  23. Oops...sorry Tank Hounds...I received one of my missions...got so excited about the goodies that I forgot to post!!! I'm a baaaaad dog... Anyhow...My Meridan Idaho package was stuffed!! It had a shadowy Bulldog on the front so I would know it was a "Dog Days" mission...and inside... A beautiful blue drawstring bag...Omi claimed immediately A small GID Seahorse patch A Racer 2814 Poker Chip A "Bitten by the Geocachiing Bug" Bumble Button A pretty metal Angel Token A Toojin & Bart Wooden Nickel An April Fool's Gold Geocoin A Black Nickel Cacher Tag A Micro Mini, and for the biggest surprise of all.... A Black Oxidized Bouncy Bunny...the last one I needed to complete the set!!! I was jumping and bouncing around like a ...well, like a Bouncy Bunny!!! I just couldn't believe it...how absolutlely special...Thank you, thank you, T & B...my not so secret Dog Days Buddies... eveything was just wonderful... Still waiting on my second mission...but, I am patient...until I have the envelope in hand...then I tear into it like a junk yard dog...lol
  24. Just absolutely, totally, totally awesome!!! Congrats Nate Grumby
