  1.

What software do you use to "spin them into html pages and render them in a way that palm can read"

I have a palm m515 with a 1G sd card. I can't figure out how to do this.

    CAN YOU HELP PLEASE?

GPX2HTML (free) and Plucker (free) for desktop and palm will do it.

OK, I've got the two softwares downloaded."GTX2HTML, and Plucker. I have some how created some HTML files from some cache pages. loaded into my folder that holds the GTX2HTML file. NOW, I can't figure out how to get these HTML files into the Palm m515. The palm software does not have a HTML file type for downloading. Can you lead me to a tutorial about all of this? I'm using a Garmin 60CSx, but would like to take all the notes with me on the Palm m515.

    Thanks,

    soarfoot

  2. Now export everything that is left (about 4000 caches) and run them through a couple of pieces of software that spin them into html pages and render them in a way that palm can read. This process took me typically 4 hours, but would not of you weren't dealing with such a large export.

  3. whew. i thought it was my windows 7 upgrade.

Same problem...but I thought it was because I had installed GSAK, and the "association" screwed it up. I hope that is not the case. I would still like to download directly from the cache page without having to go through GSAK.

  6. I'm looking into pocket queries, but my concern. After I load hundreds of caches into the Garmin 60csx, how do I get rid of them. I can delete them one by one, but that seems to be very time consuming after filling up the unit with 500 pocket queries? Please help

  7. I'm confused. Pocket Queries brings up a page to select by filters a group of Caches. The software, GSAK appears to do the same thing after downloading the Cashes. Do I need both? What would be the advantage? Are there better software programs?

  8. In general if you have searched for the cache and did not find it that would be a DNF log. Searching again at a later date would be another log.

thanks for all that answered. I did go ahead and post "DNF" to all those I didn't find today. Tomorrow is another day

  9. This was my first day of caching. Of the seven I went looking for, I could only find three.....but one was a FTF. Question....I plan on returning to the ones I couldn't find in the next week,SO, should I log todays hunt as a "did not find", or wait until next week, hoping I can find them.

  10. Pasha88, the "caches of this type" link will show you caches of this type. Type is not size.

Type refers to cache design; traditional, multi-cache, mystery cache, event cache, etc.

    Size refers to cache container.

I would assume that soarfoot wants traditional cache type, in small, regular and large sizes. The commonest type in his area is going to be traditional, the commonest size is going to be micro.

    Thanks Guys/Gals

I think I have it figured out. You can sort/request by "Type". Then the size is shown by the little red boxes. But you CAN NOT sort by both "Type" and "Size" at the same time. Correct?

Additionally.....please point me to where I can figure out what "Georgia style" means.

    Thanks,

  11. I'm new...so a dumb question

Is there a way to filter the size of cach when looking for those in my area? I'd like to take the grand kids, but feel they would quickly loose interest if all they saw was grandpa signing a piece of paper.

    Thanks

  12. I'm new....just learning about all of this. I have 0 FTFs. Actually I have 0 finds....so right now I guess I'm 100%. I did learn one thing from this thread though. FTF measn "first to find". NOW, if I can figure out what all those other shortcuts mean I'll be in business....and What is a smiley that everyone collects? :)
