    Dragon Tails

Nightshade and Sunflare are currently available on Geocoinstore, get them while they last...
  3. You know, my first reaction was "EXACTLY!" but then I realized that might not be complete enough for me. So, my answer has to be: "Some would say TOO MANY, but I say NOT ENOUGH!" And... I plead the 5th on the actual count.

    Sun Rose

Nepokama and I have been talking for a while about doing a suncatcher geocoin, and as we were playing around with ideas for a Rose coin, this design came together. For this coin, we drew inspiriation not just from both of our gardens, but the stained glass windows often found in Gothic Architecture to create something that could remind us year-round of our gardens in spring. Sun Rose Front - Red: Sun Rose Back - White: You can find all 4 colors (Red, Pink, White and Yellow) available for reservation on CacheAddict here. This coin is trackable on Geocaching.com
  6. Land, the second coin in the series, is inspired by and honors the pioneers of the American west who set out across the unknown in search of new horizons and homes. They carved out new lives in the wilderness and found new hope over every hill. This coin shares the compass rose with Sea on one side, though it has all new color combinations. Antique Gold - Wagon Side: Silver - Compass Side: You can find versions in Gold, Silver, Antique Gold, Antique Silver and Antique Bronze available for reservation on CacheAddict here. This coin is trackable on Geocaching.com
  7. Oh my. Now I wish I were going to be able to make GeoWoodstock!

    Spring Time

For those of you who might be interested, we've posted an AE of this coin (along with AEs for a few other coins) up on EBay. You can find this AE at: Spring Time AE (Antique Copper) Be sure to check out the other auctions!
  9. Hey Jackalgirl, I was wondering... Is it safe to extend the pattern, and assume that the Antique Silver is intended to be "Winter"?

    Dragon Tails

Yes, the background color on all of them is a translucent, but it's hard to tell on Emerald, since it's trans 10.

So, the good news is that these coins are currently in production. I have to mention that the sneak peek shown above won't be immediately available. We'll try to get an updated peek soon.

    Spring Time

As of yesterday, spring is officially here! A while back, Nepo Kama and I started to think about the coming spring, and what (besides geocaching) we were looking forward to. He and I are fortunate enough to live only a short drive away from the annual Tulip Festival in Washington, and we both enjoy taking our families up to witness the fields and fields of blooming tulips became part of the inspiration for this coin. Here is the Antique Silver version: There is also an Antique Gold version available, but we don't currently have any hi-res photos. This coin is trackable on geocaching.com, and has it's own icon. You can find this coin now at http://www.geoswag.com/
  15. My package arrived last week, without any flowers. Thank you RSG!
  16. I'm a little late in posting this, but I had a really good evening on Monday. This is what I found in my mailbox when I arrived home from work:

    We're working on it.
  18. Well, I probably should speak up here. I don't *exactly* lurk around here, but I'm not the most vocal either, and I don't think I've done much of an intro before. Hi, My name is Mike. And I'm a geocoin addict, who doesn't qualify for this cointest by a long shot. My Caching name is a reuse of an online name from *many* years ago (FidoNet anybody?) that I've used through the years for all sorts of gaming. I started caching about a year and a half ago, when I was 'introduced' to it by a good friend (Nepokama) who was helping me move into a new house, and he noticed there was a cache nearby. I did a cache or two every few months to begin with, and it started to escalate. My first geocoins were shown to me by Nepokama, and I suddenly had a related interest. It's now been 1 year and just over a week since I ordered my first geocoin on Feb 15th of 2010. I'm sitting here with samples for 4 different geocoins on my desk (Co-designed with NepoKama), at least one of which hasn't been shown or announced in any way yet, and several more designs in the process of working their way to reality. Oh, and my collection has grown to close to 300 'keepers' in that time. I've had the great fun of having my first year caching coincide with the 10 year anniversary, AND Geowoodstock being near my hometown (I live in the Seattle, WA greater metro area). I will admit, Avroair probably bears some of the blame for the coin addiction, and running into him at events regularly (he hosted the first event I attended) probably doesn't help. Now that I have a few artist editions of coins that I've helped design, I guess it's time for me to enter the next phase of my geocoin addiction: Serious Trading! I got a taste of trading last year at the Midnight Madness event around GeoWoodstock, but I quickly burned through my trader stock, and am just now beginning to have something to offer. I will admit, I have a few complete sets of things that I may be willing to break a few loose from, for the right coin(s).
  19. 1. December 9, 2009, It was handed to me by Nepokama, and I was told to grab it. TB1KKAD: Red Handed Geocoin (Traveling)-lindsychris 2. February 15, 2010: 3 coins in a single order, a Flip For it, Cros Ceilteach AS, and an Eat, Sleep, Cache - Round in blue. 3. Still haven't made my personal coin yet, though I've got some design ideas that I'm discussing with NepoKama. As Nepokama mentioned, some of the ones we've worked on are done (Voyages of Exploration: Sea & Road's End) with more coming soon. 4. My first trades were at the Midnight Geocoin Madness II event -- traded several coins that night, and still wish I'd had more traders at the time, as I would have loved to trade more. I did get to meet a few familiar names from here that night. (though they may not realize it) 5. Found a geocoin first, and went looking for the forums to find out more.

At some point, there is that possibility.
  21. Thanks for the update! I'll update my listing for the GC&PC version this evening, and add a separate listing for your versions.

Sorry about that, Eartha. As TMA said, yes, it is. One of these days we'll remember to include that in the initial post. Obviously we need to announce more coins as practice!

    Dragon Tails

There will be no presale, as this coin will be available in a very familiar web store.
  24. Are the club coins and the other editions going to be 'different' coins as far as Geocaching.com is concerned? Different names/Icons? Same name/icon, as I said in post #28 Oops. I was afraid I might have missed it. Thank you for the reminder.
