If I klick on "View Larger Map" in an archived cache listing it opens the new map-page with an eror message (Sorry, we couldn’t find "GC...."). Why doesn't it open the map at the coordinates of the archived cache as it was before with the old map?

Yes, thank you for bring this up.  I don't so much mind the new map but I just found this out.  It brings me to my home location.  If I click on "larger map" I want to see that location even though the archived cache doesn't show.  I do it all the time for whatever reason. Could Groundspeak please fix that?

  2. So as mentioned elsewhere, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to correct the problem of corrected coords not showing.  After finding a few today I went to look at my drafts and found that what I had logged on the app had posted directly to the cache pages.  Why?? I like to post to drafts with just a few words to jog my memory (and maybe include spoilers for me) and write later.  Now I can't do that - didn't something like this happen with the old app?  I know I stopped using 'field notes' because of this.  Is this supposed to be better?  If so, why are they 'drafts'?

  3. Does it work if you select the PQ from the map as opposed to following the map link on the PQ list page?

I select the map option on the PQ list page. I don't know how else to see the PQ map.

On the map page... the normal map page, switch the left-hand panel from "search" to "pocket queries" and select you query from the list.

How about that! I've had that side panel retracted for so long that I forgot it was there. It does work there, although still not on the PQ list. Thanks for the tip.

  5. Lately I can't run a map on any pocket query that is built on a bookmark list. The map that comes up is the one of my home location caches. Sometimes I can get one on a PQ that is run on its own (e.g.-to show multis I haven't found) but it's slow. Has anyone else had this trouble?

No. It's just an issue with a slow connection speed.

My connection speed is fine. It happens on several computers.

  7. I finally realized that the icon that looks like a stewpot is the trashcan. However, there is no warning before deleting.

The other thing I posted in 2 other forums but have not seen addressed: I have a list of solved geoart. If I call one up I can see the solved coordinates. If I hit the delete, those are gone with no warning. The worst thing is that they are also deleted out of the website entry. And I cannot restore them to the website. I can enter them into the edit field but it does not update. I have to restore the solved coordinates through the app.

  8. "I had a solved mystery and on the app was able to see the solved coords. I managed to delete those and found that they were also deleted in the cache listing on the website. I also could not then correct the coords on the website. I could put them in but when I clicked 'accept' the old coords were still there. Finally, I added solved coords to the cache in the app and they re-appeared on the website listing."

I posted this on the March 9th site - just want to be sure that someone at HQ sees it. I cannot, repeat CANNOT, enter corrected coordinates on the website listing if they were deleted from the app listing. I have to re-enter solved coords. into the app, then it propagates back to the website.

  9. Am I missing something? How do you view a list on a map instead of a listing?

When you see the listing of caches in the Search Results, then look in the upper-right (under the mountain/sky image) and there's a button to "Map" the results. Is that what you're looking for? If you don't see that button, then let us know what type of browser you're using and maybe it's an issue with the browser?

I see that on a search but I want to map my offline lists. I have an Android phone.

  11. There has been a lot of discussion about the PQ maps - that all caches show up and this isn't working or desirable for many people (me included). I haven't seen it addressed yet - is there anything upcoming?

We took a stab at this issue over the last week but weren't happy with the way it was implemented so it was rolled back. We recognize it's a big complaint from Premium Members so we're going back to the drawing board with some other ideas. I hope to announce a fix for this very soon.

    Thanks - appreciate the update.

By the way, from the last update, direct links to PQs and Lists were added so they can be accessed from anywhere. I had hoped for that for quite a while and really like it.

  12. Since that upgrade my PQs show the desired caches with the lightening bolts.....and every single other cache, already found or not! It's ugly, busy, distracting, and unwanted. So if I have a new cache query that should list 10 caches....I see 10 lightening bolts....and thousands of other caches.

It's tedious, but you can click on all the other cache types in the legend and turn them off.

I agree there should be a single switch to turn everything off.

But if I turn off a cache type that is in my PQ, then I can't see which cache it is.

Everything can get turned off except the 'lightening bolts' on your PQ caches. I only figured that out after the poster above mentioned turning off caches. I think the default state of the PQ map should be only the PQ caches with an explanation that surrounding ones can be turned on. I can understand the reason for that but if an explanation were readily available on the page, it would save a lot of the upset this has caused. Maybe after an upgrade, there could be a popup when you sign on with the changes (instead of having to come to the forums) with a checkbox to not show again after you have read it. Also, when there is a major change in functionality, this should be explained how to get to what you had before or if that is still available.
