It started with the62 series. The 60csx had a better firmware (with accuracy circle) it looks like, they changed the programmer team with the 62 series. 62, 64, 66 - all the same &§?*Ä (without accuracy circle)

A Garmin does not crash - it is called power save mode. :-) ... waiting for 3.50 ...

Garmin does not provide any downgrade from 2.70 o 2.60 - info from garmin hotline :-(

You leave the Panasonic in the gpsmap 66 and can load it fully in about 40 minutes via USB? mine take about 6-8 hours for loading in the 66

I also have big problems with calibrating the 66 calibrating a 60csx or 62 was very easy. i already thought it might be a hardware issue ot the 66er series. turning the unit quickly and not slow had more success. or the will be an sw update in a few months or years also with calibration , nord was not exactly north
