The container for that cache does seem small enough that it could be hidden in a number of places, but there is a playground at the other end of the park and it's fairly open, so that limits the possible hiding spots.
And, Amazing sleuthing from my screenshot!

Yes, but there is a wooded area behind the playground too.

If you're needing another to move their cache to fit you in, there may not be room for them to move either.
- Or, if they have issues later, they're sunk, because they moved their cache for you.
I'd put it on a watch, and if it's ever archived you'd have your spot.
Guess I don't understand that someone would even be okay with asking someone to move. They were there before you...
I totally understand. They are in a park and there’s lots of places similar to where it is now that it could be moved. There are no geographic issues for moving it further away in the same park. I am not holding my breath that they will move it but asked nicely. My daughter has a fairy garden in front of our house and she’d like to put one there. It would be super cute. We’ll see. This cache has been moved once before and this cache has been there since 2008 so chances are that it isn’t going to be archived any time soon. I only need it to be moved about 90 feet. I’m really close to the cut off for space.

I’ve reached out to the owner of the nearby cache. We’ll see what he says. Fingers crossed.

No,there is usually no leeway. Your only option for placing a cache in that specific location lies in negotiating with the owner of the other cache.
So, if the other person moved their cache a little ways, I could technically make it work? But, obviously, would need to contact them first.

I wanted to place a new cache. I have a cute spot picked by my daughter. However, I’m getting a reject because it’s too close to another cache. I can’t put it elsewhere. Is there any leeway with new caches and reasonable distance? I’m one house away from being far enough away. Thanks.

Can anyone give me their opinion on what the best batteries (for a long life) are on the Garmin 60csx. I know with other electronics, lifespan can greatly vary from battery to battery.

Just saw this on the Seattle craigslist. Thought someone in the Seattle area might be interested. I just bought a GPSr or I'd jump on it in a heartbeat!

I know this is an old post, but, do you know if Garmin has replaced any older units free? I bought mine used and they quoted me $125 to fix it. Thoughts?
-
I am having the same problem. Can you purchase a new gasket set?
-
Garmin usually replace such units at no cost.
Even if the unit is out of warranty? I bought this used so I have no idea how old the unit is.
-
Well, I would suggest to contact your local pawn shop. I found my eTrex Vista at one, and got a screaming deal. I don't think they knew what the GPS was worth. :-)
-
Hmmm. That must be it. Is it really difficult to fix on your own? Any ideas on a cost for fixing it through Garmin?
-
I have an eTrex Vista that I bought used and when it is in a low satellite area, it keeps getting funny lines on the screen that kinda go in and out. When I have good reception, it hasn't happened.
I can return the unit for the next two days. I got a screaming deal on it, so I don't want to have to.
Any thoughts on what is happening?

I have the opportunity to buy the Garmin eMap model (for about $50) and was wondering if it is good for geocaching? Please let me know your thoughts. I want to get into this on the cheaper end, but don't want a unit that's going to disappoint right away. Thanks!!!

All I know is that I've waded through a couple pages of posts on some of these items to find out that it was sold. It would be nice to put a sold sign on the post, that is visible without having to go through it, and not necessarily "lock" the post.
-
Wow! Lots of places to buy. Some good deals too.
-
I just think it could be a locked thread in the garage sale section to remind people to close or lock their threads when an item is sold. They have this function on the scubaboard message board, and it works great! Otherwise, this message will quickly be buried and people won't see it until someone else posts a new message stating the same thing. Is there an administrator that could do it?
-
Any new scuba caches? I'd love to see some in Washington. :-)
-
IMHO, Shouldn't this be a sticky at the beginning of all the threads?

Just getting into geocaching and want to buy my own unit! I do not want to spend too much money and want something compatible with mapsource (as my brother has the US topo discs).
Please let me know if you have a unit to sell and how much you want. Thanks!!!

Is there anyway to determine if there is one?
