I rotated the image and saved it as a new file. Uploaded that file with the same results. Still rotated and lying on its side.

Hi there,
For my cache GC37PR3, I uploaded a spoiler photo. When I view the photo after upload, it's just fine. When I then go to view the cache page the photo has been rotated to the left by 90 degrees. I have tried to rotate the image from the page editing site with no luck. I rotate the image, refresh the page, and nothing has happened. If I go back, and view the cache page, refresh the page, nothing has happened.
Now here's the weird bit. On a windows based machine I have tried Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge browsers, and the image is lying on its side.
On my iOS based devices, an iPhone and an iPad the image is correct.
Suggestions?

Anyone know how to download a list to a GPX file?
I've created a list of common "not found" caches for a friend and myself. I want to download the list as a GPX file and load it into GSAK. I don't want to load it directly to my GPS.

I really like the Open Cycle Maps on the site, as they show topo lines and detailed trail routes. Recently the maps have a big overlay on them saying "API Key Required".
I did a bit of Google searching to find that the Open Cycle Maps is administered by Thunderforest. I registered at their site, and have an API key. However, they suggest you append this text to the end of the map URL:
?apikey=<insert-your-apikey-here>it doesn't work. Any suggestions?Thanks in advance.

The "issue" seems to have been resolved. Just ran the status update and no time outs.

I see that the problem has returned.
Hadn't seen it since Groundspeak synched their server clocks in May. Now it's resurfaced again.

In the last couple of days, when I run a PQ, I now receive an e-mail that it's run.
Did a brief search on my account settings. Is there a way to turn this "feature" off?

Thanks for the speedy response.
I have posted the response on the GSAK forums, and will wait for a response. Unfortunately, Clyde had a cyling accident recently, which resulted in him ending up in the hospital with some broken bones. Full recovery is expected, however, he'll be off-line for a little while.

I use the geocaching program "GSAK". I'm running the latest version 8.4.1.32 on a Windows 7 box.
I have several small GSAK databases (with 25 - 70) caches for geographically isolated areas e.g. an Island.
With the 5 Pocket Query/day threshold, I don't feel like running a PQ for these small databases. Instead, GSAK has a feature whereby you can update logs real time through the geocaching.com API.
I believe for performance purposes the API has a limit (not sure if it's time or volume of data based) whereby the API "takes a break" for a minute prior to the next pull of data.
Just prior to the major upgrade at Groundspeak a few weeks ago, I noticed that the API cycled twice before resuming the data pull. I.e. it would count down from 59 seconds, briefly flash as though it was resuming the data pull, and then count down for an additional minute prior to resuming the data pull. It was taking a 2 minute break.
I posted a message in the GSAK forums. One of the moderators suggested the additional cycle might go away with the Groundspeak upgrade.
Well it hasn't gone away. In fact it's added one more cycle to the time out. So API time out cycles three times now, for a total of 3 minutes prior to resuming the data pull.
Is the API "working as designed" or is this a defect?

Dear 1 & all,
A bit curious about distance in the publication notification of new caches.
The third line of the notification for a new cache being published has 2 distance measures.
Miles - Bearing (Kilometers - Bearing)
Does anyone know what that distance is?
If I then go to the cache page of the newly published cache, the distance from my "Home" is significantly different from the distance & bearing in the publication notice.
Just curious.

Hi there:
I've saved a route with about a dozen waypoints, and wanted to reverse the route. From the route page, I select the route, and from the menu I can select the "reverse route", but that's all that seems to happen. If I then select either navigate or map, it gives me directions from the start all over again.
I've scratched my head, tried a few things, but no luck.
Suggestions appreciated.

I have no idea what your reply is about, relating to the hint.
After doing some Googling I concluded it was the EXIF data which wasn't being sent with the image when I e-mailed it to myself for uploading to the cache page.
I used the Camera51 app to resend the image to myself, and everything is just fine now.
Case closed.
Not sure if anyone cares or not, but I'd rate the answers to my post as being of zero use.
