  1. Because the software for the site is broken. Jim And, so, we'll be hearing about the fix when?
  2. I just entered 22 finds this evening. On the My Profile page they are in the order in which I entered them. On the link from the My Public Profile page (MPP > Geocaches > All Cache Finds) they are in some other order. I would like it to be "in the order entered" on both pages. Why is it that they are not the same?
  3. Happily, they were gone sometime later. I don't know when, I went to do something else. It would be fun, though, to hear what happened.
  4. What's up with the big red X on both maps on the cache listings?
  5. "Yes" for the check mark. "Yes" for a "blue frown" if you've filed a DNF. "No, I don't want to learn a new browser."
  6. No "Go" button responds. That's the problem. If there are, for example, two cachers with names starting "Beluga" hitting "Enter" will get you to the list where you get to choose the one you want and then not have the "Enter" button work for that Go. If there is only one "two bison" then the then "enter" doesn't work the first time. You're probably right ... TPTB probably don't see this as an issue worth fixing.
  7. The real irritant here is that you have to click the "Go" button. Fill in a box most anywhere on the geocaching site and you can hit the "Enter" key and away you go. Do that here and you get nothing. You have to point and click the "Go" button to get any action. What's up with that? Yeah, you'd think that you would simply get a list, wouldn't you? I mean... you already clicked "GO" once, right? I want to be able to enter the name and hit "Enter" without clicking the go button. That's what happens everywhere else. Go to the Hide and Seek a cache page, enter appropriate stuff in any box and hit enter. You don't have to move the mouse and click on the button.
  8. The real irritant here is that you have to click the "Go" button. Fill in a box most anywhere on the geocaching site and you can hit the "Enter" key and away you go. Do that here and you get nothing. You have to point and click the "Go" button to get any action. What's up with that?
  9. What if 5 people in a group all file a DNF? What if it is a really difficult hide?
  10. Is it also what is causing the problem over at itsnotaboutthenumbers?
  11. Now, at INATN we get: 1728: GPX files: need attributes Added geocache attributes to Pocket Queries 12937: add INATN to the software page Added link to itsnotaboutthenumbers.com So that happened. Everything is shut down for now until I can figure out what has crippled the site. Please help get itsnotaboutthenumbers back up and running. Thanks.
  12. As a grandfather with a grandson w/a severe peanut allegy, I'd like to second this. That way we'll know if he can handle the container. As it is now, if he sees it first he can't grab it until someone else checks it for him. We'd like to know we can let him go once in awhile. Yes, we're carrying an epipen.
  13. When I set up the accounts for my grandsons one wanted the name "Baby Bison." I was able to convince him that he wanted a name he would be willing to use when he was older. He made a better choice the second time. Hope your kid made a good choice. It's fun to cache with kids and they'll even search for micros ... now. LOL
  14. I'm confused. If one bookmark list gets full why not just start another one? 40 lists times 500 caches equals 20000 caches.
  15. How about adding the picture in the "Find a geocache and share your experience" box. Fifty percent more new pictures. Let that nice family and their dog get on down the trail.
  16. One thing I don't want is to be notified everytime someone post a forum note for one of my caches. I want traditional DNF's as they help me to determine if a cache needs replacing or if maintenance of some other sort is needed. If you're going to force feed forums on us allow us to opt out of having them or allow us to block that part of the e-mail notification system Having to deal with mail from folks hurrahing each other about a cache find doesn't appeal to me.
  17. Could you share the "magic 17" with us? Thanks.
  18. Ah yes, I knew you had to update the coordinates by posting a log with the new coordinates. What I didn't know was that you had to use the link in the "edit listing" to get it to work. Thanks. Now, where did I put those new coordinates for the other cache I moved? Dang.
  19. Tonight I tried to update the coordinates for a cache GC1CPB9 and got the following message. The new location is a relatively large distance from the original. Please check your coordinates to make sure they were entered correctly. If you need additional help, please contact Nomex, the reviewer who published this cache, or Groundspeak to make the change for you. Be sure to provide the cache name and GC Code, the new and old coordinates, and the reason why you need to move the cache. Old Coordinates: N 39° 04.193 W 121° 48.581 New Coordinates: N 39° 04.194 W 121° 48.577 I think you folks might have a problem as I was very careful to double check my entries and this was a move of 19 feet.
  20. I'm guessing we can close this thread until the next time. Mine came as well. Thank you.
  21. Mine from this morning just ran. I guess we're back up. I can use it next Wednesday.
  22. Perhaps a moderator or other member of TPTB could give us a heads up as to when the current pocket queries blockage will be released.
  23. Is geocaching down or is it my ISP? The little blue "loading" circle just spins and spins. Also, ordinarily a new PQ will run immediately. Today 30 minutes or more and counting.
