The eyes look familiar but I'm not sure if I'm mixing my thoughts up with someone else. Could it be a penguin of the purple variety?

Well done Terry! (It's a good job fuel prices are so cheap otherwise it would be really expensive having to travel so far now to go caching! )

Tb Log Deletion ...... Fair ?
The Hancock Clan replied to kph100's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Okay. Enough is enough. I was going to leave this to run its course, however every time I read it I get more wound up! Hands up. It was one of our TB’s. For what it’s worth, there is no way on earth that the log deletion was purposefully done knowing that it reduced counts! If I was aware of that (and the implications!) then I would simply have written a ‘new mission’ note like many of our other missing TB’s. The main reason why I chose to do it this way is because there were only ever two logs, and it seemed an easy option to tidy up the page, and as someone else mentioned, to reset the mileage. It does however upset me that shortly after deleting the logs a private apology and explanation was sent to both cachers who logged the TB, but that obviously wasn’t enough So, once again…sorry, and also sorry to have been the cause of a negative thread (there’s enough rants already). -
I know you said you're not keen on mystery caches, but this one's got to be one of the closest 'unfound' to you and it's ace!

It may be worth asking at www.pc-mobile.net. They make all sorts of GPS/PDA cables, but I have just looked for the Vista C, and it's not one they have on their site.

We're off to Florida on holiday soon and want to get hold of some maps for our Pocket PC. A few months ago I downloaded Maptech Outdoor Navigator along with all the relevant maps of Orlando but didn't activate the software. I now want activate it (here) but it is no longer available! This seemed the ideal solution at only $19.95. Does anyone have any suggestions? (We use Memory Map for our caching in the UK but to buy an American area map for only a couple of weeks is very expensive!)
-
The Hancock Clan will also be going to Orlando this year for their hols! We downloaded some software called Outdoor Navigator for the Pocket PC from here. It's similar to memory map and the maps of the whole of the US are free from here. We've just checked the website as we we haven't yet activated the software ($19.95) and they've stopped doing it! Don't know if there's a way around it, but we have the free (now unavailable) downloaded program if you want, and the maps work fine with it but only for a limited amount of times until activation, which obviously can't be done now! Maybe the maps will work with other software / GPS etc.?
