  1. Not unless it says it does Can I sway to into buying a GPS V Deluxe for $250 ? Includes both cables, the newest City Select, as well as a dashboard mount... If not, what sort of maps do you want? Garmin maps are the Mapsource Products. For example you can get Topo or street level data (in both autorouting capable, and NOT flavors), ones for marine use, and ones that are strictly Points of interest. I would think that I would just like to get the street maps for the car and for when travelling, topos for geocaching. I don't know what program satisfies both, if one does? Is the GPS Deluxe V Garmin? Where can I get some info about it(specs and such)? Thanks.
  2. Sounds great. Anybody have any waterproof cases they might recommend?
  3. I am just thinking of using the old Palm to d/l the caches so that I have the info, clues, etc out in the field. Is an old Palm ok for this use? I am a little concerned about the elements but I have to believe that there is a waterproof case out there for it.
  4. I am ready to take the plunge and purchase the above GPS, but how much, in terms of accessories, software, should I expect to spend? For example, I would think that I would need mapping software(does a new GPS come with this?); plug in for car lighter(I plan to use it for caching and in the car); mounting bracket for car?; protective case? Something else that i need that I don't know of right now? Thanks for your help.
  5. How are Palm Pilots used in geocaching? I know that they do not act as a GPS but are the caches stored and downloaded onto Palms for easy reference? If so, here is another question: I have an old Palm IIIxe-does anyone know if I could possibly use my old Palm to d/l caches? Also, that model is not waterproof. Any cases that protect the Palm from the elements that allow you to use them in inclement weather? Thanks for your help
