I went ahead and joined the personal GeoCoin group and ordered a limited amount of 2006 GeoCoins. My plan is to trade for other coins I don't have and place my extras in caches. I do owe a coin to PrairePartners, who were good enough to send me a coin when I had nothing to send them. Anyhow, if you'd like one, please email me. I really would prefer trades only, as I'm not looking to sell any. Since I'm newly retired and will be doing a pretty good amount of traveling and boosting my caching numbers, I will be placing them in caches in various states.

I agree. I've got the time off, but I'd like to book myself a hotel in the area now.

Wow!!! A Geocoin from my home town. Put me down for five of those bad boys.... Heck... Put me down for SEVEN of them.

Actually I'll probably come early and stay a day or two after the event... So, the sooner I get hotel information, the better for me.

I'm in, however, my camping days are behind me. I'd like to know the hotel selections so I can reserve something soon. Plus what else do I need to do to make sure things are in place for me?

Speaking of which have you seen the WorkerofWood coin that is out? There is a picture of it on his profile. There is a teeny, tiny clue on the coin (you can't see it with the naked eye) to a real difficult multi cache of his. VERY COOL! THAT's the one. I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of them. The detail is unbelievable! Now, I've gotten the coordinates for the first stage of the multi and I need to go try that.
