  1. Not happy with the change. You took away Google because of $, I can understand but now the one left over has very limited user control. When I am researching a location I like to zoom out to see the area--now all the caches blot out any recognition of a map. Can you please bring back the Google thing to not refresh? And--don't make us unclick all forms of caches. Just open the map with tradition and then the user can add whatever else.

  2. The term "COLLECTABLE" screams--take me home and pin me to your wall----

Remove that term from all geocaching publications---and call the TB's--Game Pieces

GeoCache.com could send out a friendly Welcome to new players and then some advice to be safe and ask them not to steal the TB's. They really are the property of the owners who started them out to travel the world--not to end up in ? ---gasp---pinned to a wall in someone's attic.

Owners of Caches could monitor the posts--and if they see TB's are taken--maybe an automatic message of some sort could then be sent to that poster to say the owner is looking forward to where they will now move the TB to another Cache. Please learn how to log the TB's separately from logging the finding of the Cache.

Watching the bugs move is my favorite part.

  3. I think the term "collectable" should be removed from all Geocaching publication. The TB's should be called --- GAME PIECES. Geocache.com should send a friendly welcome to the game to all new players and then a polite "don't steal the bugs !"

If new players do not start with a good instructor then they have no rules to follow and COLLECTABLE screams--take me home.

I have sent emails to players who post they took the bug but never post where they release it. I don't think they know how to log the TB's I never hear back from my emails---

So--if you are missing the missing TBs--please send some polite emails too and ask the players to learn how to move and log the bugs !!

  4. Some of the logs I have read suggest that there is a way to be informed when a new cache is posted. In my area I see that the "first to find" are the same people over and over. I was wondering how they get that information? Thanks for all help.

  5. When I found this coin I signed that I had "discovered " it because I had already found this cache before and now the TC does not show up in my inventory. I am wondering how I will record it when I am able to place it. I did add another log to the TC's page that I have it--but it still is not in my inventory or reading that I have it. Can someone please help with this---how can I get it to show up in my inventory list. Thanks.
