I think you can overcome the 0.1 mile block by moving it 0.1 miles, then another, then another etc.
Although I think if you're moving it more than a few meters, perhaps it would be better to archive the current cache listing and make a new listing for the box at its new location.

I have a 35mm camera case, mini pencil and logsheet if anyone wants it.
Only £16.99 + P&P at £1.95
If you're going for ebay style pricing, surely that should be £1.95 + £16.99 P&P.

I wouldn't worry about putting the etrex in the fridge (it's no colder than when you're out caching on a frosty day), but I wouldn't have thought that that would fix the glue problem, as it'll soften again when you warm it up.

I'd say log it as soon as you can. If you note in your log that you were beaten to the ftf, then no one should have cause for complaint.
If you hold off logging, you could end up waiting ages for them to get back from holiday / fix their computer etc.

I recently bought a Bluenext GPS for £44 inc p&p from www.youwantone.com It works very well with ViaMichelin navigator on my palm, and it interfaces with CetusGPS, although I haven't used it to find any caches yet.

Playing Devils Advocate on this is getting harder by the hour
Has TDW or Mod emailed the cache owner directly for an explanation? - He/She is evidently active at the moment but may not look at the forums?
Yes
So we can look forward to a new thread about "How the moderators should keep their noses out of where I choose to place caches" then can we?

I'd beg to differ (well, a lot of people do say I'm "Different", but not directly to me;-)
If the event organisers / organizers (well, it was destination America!) decided that attendance by webcast was allowable, then you should be allowed to log both. It's also reduced you carbon footprint by attending virtually rather than travelling there ;-)
In the long run, it's your stats, if you feel that you attended both, then log them both. If you think you might get to 1000 caches but in the back of your mind think "Well, it's only 999 really", then only log one.

I'm typing this from a point directly below my chimney stack
we can see that from your avatar!

Thanks for the answers guys, it was vistaprint that I was thinking of, but I may well just find some card and print them myself (have to check if I can fit card into the laser printer).
Thanks.

A long time ago, there was a thread about calling cards(and I don't think it was a love em-hate em thread), and somebody mentioned a printers that does calling cards for free (with their own advert on the reverse). I've used the search, but can't find it, so does anybody know where I can find them?
Thanks,

yacht and two goats hidden behind three doors. You choose a door but before it is openned Monty opens one of the another doors to show you a goat. The question... to have the best chance of winning the yacht should you stick with the door you chose or change to the other door that is closed?
You stand a 50:50 chance whichever you choose.

I think it's a great idea too, although, since Hertfordshire is about as far away from the sae as it's possible to get, I'm afraind that I can't offer to help with a cache.
A great idea. There'd be some challenging caches there, especially as some of the sea areas don't have any land
One of my all-time favourite books is Attention All Shipping - A Journey Round the Shipping Forecast by Charlie Connelly. Recommended - and amusing - reading for anyone interested in the shipping forecast.
When i saw the topic, I thought of this book too. I'm currently about 3/4 the way through reading it. It's great!

I have just completed a listing for my new cache and within the general description have referred to a website, cutting and pasting all the wording from a link that is working fine on my TB page. The cache has now been published but I cannot access the website in question from the listing. This is how I entered in the one on my TB page and it works ok. <a href="http://www.name of website here"> www.name of website here</a>
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
on the "Report/Edit a Cache" page, did you tick the box that says "The Descriptions Below are in HTML"?
If you didn't it doesn't work.

OK heres my way
What is the number of the house at N 00 00.000 W 000 00.000 and the house at N and W etc this would work all year round. Of course just say on the page that its best enjoyed in December.
There's already a cache at N 90 00.000 W 000 00.000. I expect that a lot of us have logged it already.

You won't be watching it too long as it will get nasty and be closed down
Why would this happen?
Because that's what usually happens when we start to discuss paying premium members / non paying members.
Same as when we discuss any contentious issue - dogs, 4x4s, micros etc.
I'm suprised it's been so good natured so far and hasn't degenerated yet. Well done everybody!

I want to by picked up and carried from cache to cache by half a dozen semi naked and freshly oiled up Chippendales please
Slippery furniture? Wouldn't that be rather slow?
I think the cartoon chipmunks are already naked, but the oil would take ages to get out of their fur.

We should all immediately wrap ourselves in cotton wool and lock ourselves in our houses, sealing all the doors and windows with gaffer tape to keep the nasties out!
... and suffocate?
Yay! Somebody noticed the flaw that plan!
(Natural selection at its best)

Only 21 days 'till the sun starts to come back (If we appease the sun gods by feasting enough!)
Happy mid-winter festival to everybody!

did it work?

Ah, that old "Government Research"! Is it a slow news day? I don't know: Lymes disease from ticks, that nasty thing that people died from gorse bush scratches, biting dogs, bird flu, polonium radiation poisoning, and now my walkman headphones. They're all trying to kill us!

I should grow a beard.
And put a bone in it.
eh?
I assumed from your avatar that you're a Douglas Adams fan. In Life, The Universe and Everything, Arthur has a rabbit bone in his beard.
Perhaps I should get out more!

I have adopted a few of Dan's other caches, but I think the ring would be outside of my 'easily maintained' ability - both in terms of area and time.
