What capacity are the eneloops?

Another quick question what are the best rechargable batteries for use with this charger and a gps device?
-
cheers, i was looking at my old charger which charged batteries at 230mah so was a bit worried when i worked out .3 to be 900mah.
i have found a set of 2900mah (claimed by manufactor) only to be 1600 and they are less than 6 months old, but do seem to last the longest beating my 2650mah (claimed but are 2400 on charger) by quite a bit.

i think they have the contact on the beta page these days.
-
updated to the latest beta and found the following:
WAAS now works and brings accuracy down to 7-8ft compared to the normal 14-22ft found its performing better at gz however the map can freeze when refreshing now.
Also noticed 12 satelites all with "D"'s and the waas one at the end so a much better running gps now.

an update, got the charger, after doing some refresh/anaylist i was able to weed out a couple of bad batteries.
But the question i know have is how much is .3 and .4 if .1 of a 3000mah battery is 300mh does that make .4 1200mh or 720mh? as the manual says never charge lower than .3c or higher than 1.c, now im abit confused.

i had a cacher who ive never met before come up to me at a meet once they realised who i was and thank me in front of my daughter and partner for all the caches i had placed out which gave me a nice warm feel knowing i had given someone else some pleasure.
-
thanks everyone, the puzzle i was trying to solve had nothing in the pic, found the info elsewhere on the page. However i have learnt a lot so far and hopefully this thread has helped someone else out somewhere too.
feel free to continue adding ideas etc to this thread, perhaps in the future it be a good reference tool for other cachers.

thanks to all those so far who have replied, just now waiting for the postman to deliver my charger.

having a look through some of my caches knowing that one that i had to replace early this year it was about 10 cachers did caches either side of it and yet none logged a find or dnf at my missing cache which i didnt know was missing till a DNF turned up a month later. If people logged their dnf's or even emailed the CO to say (if they that proud) then at least if the cache is missing a replacement can be placed quickly thus stopping others suffer the same fate of no smiley.

i have ordered a c9000 MAHA battery charger, just wondered if anyone here could suggest what are the best settings to condition the batteries, charge batteries etc.

Hi
Im trying to solve a puzzle cache, found the picture hidden away and now trying to find the co ordinates within.
Ive not used GIMP before and since losing my PSP on my other pc ive ended up downloading GIMP.
So far ive right clicked the image and checked the properites, but think that the info i require is buried deeper i.e. the black background might be hiding what im looking for and not the main picture, any suggestions of what i need to try within gimp to get to it?

as much as i love podcacher for its witty banter and news etc, its too american and not much uk content. A uk podcast would be excellent, im willinging to contribute stories etc and would download it too.
does this forum allow voting? maybe a vote to see how popular it would be could be done?
Also if a lot of downloads are expected then maybe a sponsorship deal with a uk geocaching bits n bobs company could be sought to cover download bandwidth??

with paws for thought, it would be good if muggles see lots of dog walkers about clearing up after themselves. if those muggles who dont clear up after their dogs see this they might be embarassed into cleaning up after their mutts. Those who dont have dogs will see lots of dog owners cleaning up after their dogs and will probably then realise that after all its only a few dog owners that dont clear up and the other 99% do.

i must admit with a daughter she hates nano caches, this leads us to very few caches we can actually do at weekends at the moment. i too have also been busy in the past two weeks and now seeing lots of new ones appearing, just need to find the time now to go find them.
-
i prefer podcacher, still to find a uk based podcast on caching.
-
I for one will be looking forward to it and be travelling from Oxford. Doesnt matter where in the uk a mega event is held you will always find someone who isnt happy with the location.
Again we be there, looking forward to it!!!
many thanks

Just a big thank you to all those involved and all those who attended, a great weekend making new friends and meeting new people. Certainly a great area, if a bit windy and wet.
Things Ill remember about it would include the nightcache in torrential rain and the great chats in the evening including interesting subjects like joe jackson and she wees (you had to be there to understand).
cheers again and look forward to the next meet.

i interpret it as being kid friendly i.e. not a long walk, no danger and a cache with kid stuff within i.e. maccie d toys. also i would interpret it as not being a micro or nano as kids from what ive seen dont like them as they dont contain plastic toys

and another quick question, how many charges would one expect to get out of a set of rechargables before they become inefficient or at the end of their life?
