I think Webster's definition doesn't work for the way "riff raff" was used in this topic. If the people referred to as "riff raff" plunder caches they are of consequence. This topic being one example.

We need a definition for riff raff. Someone should start a poll.

It means it can withstand the normal pressure found at a depth of one meter. I don't know what the pressure is under the conditions they were suggesting.

Maybe it took a while for the "guilty party" to recognize the problem. It's interesting that you chose those particular words to describe the cache owner.

  5. I'm not competetive because almost everyone in my area has more finds then me, but I like to see what the other people are up to. The top bananas put up some impressive numbers, no matter what the cache ratings are. I got nice emails from a couple of them when I found their caches, and I thought that was nice.

Go to Dan Miller's leaderboard pages. You can find that information there, although it won't show you how many "not founds" somebody was too embarrassed or competitive to log.

Think shrapnel. Which is inherently more dangerous: metal or soft plastic?
