  4. Hi Willing to help out in the Essex - East London areas. I live in Chigwell and my son *bingoboy* lives in Billericay
  5. I also have a SPV C500 I make a html file from GSAK use it to go paperless 500 caches with the last 10 logs and the nearest 10 caches takes about 2mb also have a link to gc.com on each cache page
  6. I've twice not expected to go caching but had some time on my hands and claimed micros that I did find that i did not sign the log due to lack of pen I did email the owner with a photo from my phone of the cache surely this counts as a find ???

As a tourist will be no probs What is a “toasty”? Two bit of bread normally sealed around filling and toasted – cheep (but very nice) pub food Does the 16th Century Pub accept credit cards? Specifically VISA. Prob yes it is in the city and most pubs do I would ask before you order and not after Will the late August Bank Holiday affect us It will rain but not affect in any other way We’re planning to bring some local currency You will find london VERY VERY expensive – our cost of living is higher and your currency is weak – for eating out think NYC and then Double just think we pay $10 per gallon for gas Does Ireland use the same currency as England? NO NO NO NO they use the euro in Ireland Greenwich? Go early by train (tube) and boat back at lunch time (quite a few caches near there too) See you whn you come over
  8. I've just set up a meet for essex <Link> what i did was to look at some caches that have been in essex for some time and then looked thru the logs and emailed the people that had found them (that said in thier biog that they lived nearby)
  9. have you ever been to a Geocache meet I don’t want a lot of Fat hairy men in fleeces and boots, with muddy cars and long suffering wives stalking me Finding caches in a generic area would be ok but finding where my home coords i would not be over the moon with ps I am also a fat hairy man that often wears a fleeces and boots My car is muddy and my wife is very long suffering
  10. i just got them too and am about to leave the house to use it in anger for the first time I rode to the pub last night and had the p*ss taken out of me for having a bike with sat nav (I decided to not mention hidden tupperware boxes etc)

  12. if you are caching you should use WSG84 or you are making things very very hard for yourself
  13. how did I have time: well three things: 1. working away in upstate NY for two weeks - with no wife, no children so much beter than sitting in a hotel also met lots of NY cachers 2. going paperless (SPV 500c) 3. getting a new mapping GPS It was a bit of a blip for me to get so many i'll be looking at no more than 30 for the next month - but the next time I'm working away in the USA a weekend flight down to one of these power treks should give me a few hundred in two weeks

  18. little cacher... looking at the two cows enjoying each other (back right) "mummy mummy <tug on coat> why is that cow giving his friend a piggy back ....and why is that strange man with a wide angle lens taking a photo to put it up on the internet???
