I've been geocaching for a couple of years since I retired from being a merchant marine radio-electronics officer. Ham radio has been my hobby since 1964 and I've been continuously licensed since then. I upgraded to amateur extra about 40 years ago. These days I'm not very active on the air, but I still do own a couple of handhelds that I carry around with me on a regular basis. Mostly I help the other guys in my local amateur radio club set up antennas and participate in field day and activities at the local boy scout camp in the summer.
Any Ham Radio Operators Here?
