  1. One of my favorite challenge caches required finding benchmarks. In meeting the challenge, I found out how much fun the benchmarks were - no moldy logs, no cracking plastic, and in some cool places. I hope GCHQ will reconsider both the benchmark removal and the challenge cache archival.

I'm also wondering how we will find the benchmarks associated with numerous puzzle caches if the "find closest benchmark" feature is gone.

  2. I enjoy adventure labs but I don't like that they are messing with my statistics.  I care about my FFEDotY; I'm working on finds per day for pyramid challenges; and I am slowly working on having different icons on my milestone caches. My geocaching stats are now different from project-gc.
I also don't like having my total numbers inflated
. I'd like to see one cache counted for completing the adventure, as a fully functioning cache. Or, not count at all.
I wonder if HQ is experimenting with having all caches have a location check on the logging? I would hate to have to use my phone for every cache. I prefer using my GPS.

  3. This is disappointing.  For the past decade or so, I've started my day by looking at the geocaching state page.  People drop trackables in interesting caches, trackables themselves are interesting.  new caches pop up around the state.  Events are listed that I may have forgotten about. Now HQ says I should just go look for the specific things I'm interested in?  The point of looking at the state page was to see things that I wouldn't think to search for.

I hope HQ will reconsider their decision to drop the state pages.

  4. What do you like most about challenge caches? - I love challenge caches. I most like that some have required me to find types of caches or benchmarks that I thought I would not like, and I turned out to love them. I like that I find specific caches for a challenge and the caches seemed like they would be dull and I would not have sought them otherwise, and they turned out to be good or great caches. I like having a double reason to find each cache when I'm working on a challenge.

I also love looking through my past finds. It's kind of like looking through a photo album: "Oh, I remember that cache..." and it's fun to look at a cache name and find something dog-related, or holiday-related, or whatever the challenge is looking for.

What do you not like about challenge caches? Love them!!!! Nothing that I don't like.

What would you like to see changed about challenge caches? Love them the way they are.

If you could describe your favorite challenge cache type, what would it be? Multiple requirements such as, find 50 benchmarks, have 50 caches in 15 different diff/terrain grids, etc.

What types of challenge caches do you avoid? There are a few things I doubt I will ever do, such as long streaks or finding more than 52 caches in a day (my current max).
