I am using the new iPhone app update 6.1.0 with iOS 10.3.3 on an iPhone 5.  I have avoided using the driving directions because it is just too annoying.  I do however like using the actual compass accessed at the top of each cache page as shown,

but cannot do this for solved coordinates for the reasons already mentioned. A solution for this will be extremely welcome.

Hi Barefootjeff,  Thanks for the advice. 

I have just reset the app as suggested and the cache that I tried searching for a few hours ago now has guidance to the new coordinates.  But then I deliberately reset the coords for another local cache and tried it again.  This time it set a route for the old coords even though it showed the cache at the new cords on the map.  I then reset the app but it has not corrected the route this time.  Maybe there is some delay with the server?

There is definitely a bug in here somewhere.  I shouldn't have to reset the app every time I change some cache data.

Hello from Down Under,

I received the update yesterday and my initial reaction was great.  This looked good although it took some time to find every thing I needed.  But having used it for 24 hours I have discovered a major issue.  I like to solve Puzzles and Multi's, but I do not always collect them until I get back to the location.  So I enter the solved coordinates into the cache by clicking on the pencil Icon to the right of the cache coordinates as shown below and change them to the new coordinates. 

  

This relocates and changes the cache icon to a jigsaw on the map so I can see at a glance that the cache is already solved and ready to be found.  Simply adding a waypoint will not show me that the cache has been solved.

However when I use the compass or the vehicle guidance option, it uses the original coordinates and not the changed coordinates which takes me to the wrong location. This process worked perfectly before the update, so please get this bug fixed ASAP as it is extremely frustrating to search for solved caches now.

[Solved puzzle caches]

The intention of this idea was to give me the ability to know which puzzles I have solved when out finding caches. This way I can easily see on the map, if any of the nearby puzzles are worthy of a search while in the area.

I use PQs and bookmark lists for this.

 

The only mystery/puzzle caches that will appear on my map are the ones on my "solved unfound puzzles" bookmark list, because those are the ones that will be in my "solved unfound puzzles" PQ. My other PQs (or live "nearby caches" searches using the API) never include mystery/puzzle caches.

 

But yes, it would be nice if the system let you search for caches you've solved (i.e., caches for which you've created corrected coordinates).

I haven't to date used PQ's or bookmarks so I will investigate their use.

 

Hopefully Groundspeak will see the value in this idea and action it to the site and the app's.

[Solved puzzle caches]

I would just like to clarify my original post. The intention of this idea was to give me the ability to know which puzzles I have solved when out finding caches. This way I can easily see on the map, if any of the nearby puzzles are worthy of a search while in the area. It was not intended to be another method of logging a cache find. I always intend on visiting each and every cache to sign the log. Just logging a solve does not prove you have the correct co-ordinents and cannot give vital feedback on the journey or the cache condition. Sorry if I have confused anyone, although there are a few good suggestions to the forum.

[Solved puzzle caches]

When I'm not out caching I tend to solve the puzzle caches in the spare time. Once solved I enter the results into notepad and set the GZ waypoint into the cache on the iPhone app. What I'd like to see is the blue question mark logo on the search map change to a tick symbol, or to an exclamation mark, or something different to indicate the puzzle has been solved but not found
