  1. Es una página nueva? O estas reaprovechando una anterior? Recibimos Misteries para revisar diariamente y no me consta ningun problema reportado ...
  3. My English is not good enough to fully understand what is being discussed on the last few posts. I would appreciate someone making it clear! Anyway, for what is worth, my 2c. Cache is not in the middle of nowhere. It's a popular high mountain hike area due to the proximity of Mont Blanc. Some 2,000 (two thousand) people summit it each year. Most of them using the Gouter route; accessing the cache using this route is out of question, no one would do it (unless a very specific adventure is planned as tried Philippe). It is not reasonable. Some of them using the Tacul-Maudit. Not much, but still quite a bunch of people. On the Gouter route STX Extreme and Near the top of Europe have some visits. Why? because they are exactly on the path to Mont Blanc. No need to spend any aditional effort. Puppet Theater instead is not at all in the path. It comes after a difficult Tacul climb (it took us almost 3h for a lineal distance of 1Km) and before an still more difficult Maudit ascension. On a very long journey (almost twice the time the Gouter route), so the chances are extremely low of anyone taking the detour. You must consider we are not talking about a marked route folowwing some clear path. It's snow & ice, nothing else. If you want to go there while on the route to MB you will need to spend a lot of additional energy. In addition, one would think the possibility it's under some meters of snow is high. At 4000m high, 4m of snow is nothing. Go and find a cache under 4m of snow without an exact place where to dig!!!! (In fact the site is very well chosen and we didn't dig a single inch! but you have to go there to check). That said, the cache itself is not "that" dificult. You need: 1. A low avalanche risk. Google will help you find the number of dead people in Tacul-Maudit. No one want to help increasing this numbers. That's mandatory (or suicidal). 2. A reasonable weather forecast 3. 7h of high mountain hiking (crampons, ice axe, rope team, etc etc) The cable car takes you from 1100 (one thousand one hundred) meters to 3400 (3600ft to 11100ft) in 20 minutes, so most people needs aclimatisation (correct word?). Unless you are a trained one, guide companies will not take you there unless you spend a couple of nigths at +3000m. And all of this effort for a cache that most people think "will not be there". Honestly speaking, no idea why it took so long for some frikie cacher to go there! I myself was 100% sure the cache should be there. There is no reason why it shouldn't! No muggles, no animals ... Let's see how much it takes for a STF
  4. GC20DQY GC4QQCW GC3KGRC Wow! Must do. GC24HBM GC2591W GC2JMDE ... and for sure a lot more. Check the status of each ne.
  5. I didn't even get all August souvenirs, but got a lot of fun geocaching.
  6. This is a game. You must enjoy it. Take a deep breath. Relax. Forget the forums and arguing with dogmatic mind for a couple of months. Go outdoors to find some caches. Log them as honestly as you can. And let people use their own honestity. If someone uses to put throwdowns it will be known as a throwdowner. If someone cheats it will be know as a cheater. If someone acts reasonably it will be known as a reasonable person. I already (tried to) educate my sons, no way anyone can educate other people by using a forum! Enjoy it ... or you will not get any joy.
  7. On a D5 T5 A T5 at 4,600m is not supposed to be easy ...
  8. I cannot see all phisical stages marked as such ... so it has now "missing" important information and would not pass any review process ... Not a good example to bring here!
  9. I found what was definitely a cache at the top of a +3000m peak. There was nothing published there, I was sure, so once at home I wrote to French forums (there was a French logbook) and one French reviewer told me it had distance issues. I was sure it hadn't, so I contacted the owner-to-be and after a lot of e-mail excahnges we discovered he had bad coordinates. Once corrected the cache was finally published ... and do you know what? I was not FTF! Someone found it also exactly as I did but didn't log it online because there was no on-line page and only discovered it some seven or eight months later!

  11. I guess so! They are signed by the Managing Director until last year, I hope the new one honours his signature I'm waiting for an answer to an e-mail I sent to the Theater, one of the cache hidders stills works there! In the meanwhile I tasted the chocolate ... seems 12y is nothing when you're frozen! You can see a lot of pictures of the expeditions (if you're able to get rid of the Spanish comments) here (pictures starting post#26). It was not the record what drove me. In fact in September 2013 when I attempted it, it would not had been a record at all. All the planning, the training, looking for details, guessing how they acted, what to expect ... every minute of some 14 months has been quite rewarding. And of course the final experience was a lot more than I expected. Crossing Trient glacier on the first expedition was simply terrific. I will remember these hours forever. And listening to small avalanches falling down the East wall of Mont Maudit when crossing the Vallee Blanche is a sound that will stay always on my mind. How can I explain our shouting as children when we found the box? No way! I set a goal. Worked and planned hard for it. And I was extremely lucky because we succeded. I wanted to share it.

  14. Another old one cache, oldest unfound in Europe, was found yesterday. It took us a 7h hiking ... and it took me three attempts to find the necessary weather conditions and low avalanche risk. Log still in progress

Pues mira tampoco estará tan mal , no? )
  17. No sign no log. If they really destroyed the original cash without even seeing it -as it seems- this is a throwdown and a false find. (Probably my point of view is not equilibrate as I tried twice this cache ... last one on July 24th!!!! one week ago! )

Vamos hombre, no te j***!!! Editado: rectifico.
