I need a list of all the geocaches I have found - I thought there was such a list under my profile but now I can't find it. Has it been removed? If not, how would I go about finding a list of all my finds (including those now archived) without looking for smiley faces all over the country?

I first heard about it from a colleague at work (that was at least 13 years ago). Then in 2008 my husband bought a new car with a navigation system in it. I liked it so much (I'm navigationally challenged) he bought me a Garmin Nuvi for my birthday in 2009. Not too long after that our city councilman was holding some kind of neighborhood event in the park nearby where I go walking. Someone there was handing out flyers about geocaching. I chatted with her for several minutes as I recalled the conversation with my colleague many years before. After checking out the website and discovering a cache less than a mile away and that my Nuvi would take coordinates I dragged my husband out to go find it (he found it first) and was immediately hooked.
I purchased my Oregon 550T about 2 months later. -
What was your biggest or most expensive splurge geocaching? Equipment?(not including your GPSr) Travel to new geocaching locations?
Mine: bi-focal sunglasses. Now I don't have to juggle the cheap readers with the regular sunglasses.

Fine point pen, spare batteries, mechanics mirror, tweezers, small flashlight, small notebook, gardening gloves, water bottle sling and my most recent acquisition: bi-focal sunglasses. Seriously, I can't see anything in front of my face without reading glasses. I had cheap drug-store readers in my geo-bag so my good prescription glasses would not get scratched or otherwise damaged, but constantly switching off between the readers and sunglasses was a pain. So I splurged and used my Costco rebate check to purchase the bi-focal sunglasses - love them!!!
And geo-clothes: long cotton pants with deep pockets and hiking shoes - sturdier than sneakers and I don't care if they get dirty, wet, etc.
Except for the pen and batteries, most of my 'equipment' has been acquired over time as I experienced the need for a 'tool' I didn't have.
I like the idea of toothpicks to roll up nano-logs - thanks for the idea! I'll add some to my geo-bag.
And don't forget a cell phone in case you get in trouble.

No fun if someone else does it for you. I guess I prefer quality over quantity.

YES! YES! I fully agree with this idea. Hovering over a cache icon when I'm logged on is fine. But planning a caching run, or planning a trip where I can cache along the way is a real pain. (Like I should be doing right now, instead of reading these forums) I don't have a smart phone or a tablet or laptop to take along. My very tedious and time consuming method is to screen print the map to a Word document, then MANUALLY mark the caches with a number and then cross reference the number to the cache name in the margin. Even if all the cache icon had next to it was the official cache ID, that would be extremely helpful. Just because my GPS tells me the closest cache, that's as the crow flies, not neccessarily the most accessible one. I like to look at the map and determine which will be next.
I fully endorse this idea for cache names or ID's showing on the map.
