What is more impressive is that members can make their own titles, as I see ringbone has taken advantage of, not just choose from an approved list. So, technically, one could become a "Mere Geocacher."
  2. If you have ever seen ClayJar's or Markwell's number of posts and felt that you will never have more posts than them, now is your chance to (momentarily) out do them and be considered the wise sage of the forums for a (brief) period of time. Sadly, I note, that despite this chance, I still remain behind them in the number of posts. *Sigh*
  3. quote:Originally posted by Harrkev: Now, has anybody found a good case for the Meridian??? Right now, I have a camera bag, but nothing is quite the right size. Everything is either too big or too small. I had hoped to find a small cell phone case with a clear front, but with modern phones being soo small, I have given up hope. I might have to break down and buy the Magellan case. I stumbled upon a nice case for my Meridian when I was at the local surplus store. They had a whole wall of cases for cell phones, radios, etc. I got an EMT holster to carry both my Meridian and my FRS radio. While there is no window on this, I just wanted something that would take the GPS out of my hands while hiking to the cache, but still maintain a lock. The top where I stick the GPS is open and the Meridian fits in snuggly. The whole outfit clips to my belt, leaving my hands free while I hike.
  4. quote:Originally posted by Julie: I don't mind paying for value-add services, I'm just worried about the "Members Only" caches and "MyPop!" discussion boards restricting the propagation of information. Actually I do not mind the idea of "Member Only" caches as much as some. Caches are not going to disappear and most caches would probably not be "Member Only," but I could see the appeal of placing a "Member Only" cache if there was someone specifically targeting my caches for plunder. I could also see a number of other reasons for creating member caches, but I doubt that member caches would ever approach the number of non-member caches.
