  1. Posted this in the general geocaching forum but will just copy and paste here.

    Hey!

I have found the easiest way to find geocaches in my local area is to enter the postcode for my area (UK).

For some reason when i enter my postcode it takes me to an area in central germany?!

I am unsure whether they have the same/similar postcode to us, i would have thought they would use a different format.

Basically how do i let geocaching.com know about this and see if there is a possible fix!?

    cheers

    Further Info:

Browser: Internet Explorer 8 (i think mayb 7)

    OS: Vista Home Premium 32bit

    Recurring Problem

  3. I can't remember where i read it, but i saw some guidelines that if you plan to keep a travelbug for longer than 14 days then you should let the owner know the status, and how long you plan to keep it for.

Something i will always go by anyway!!

  4. Hey there

Quite new to geocaching with only 29 to my name, but the travelbugs really interest me.

I have set 3 off so far, and have been left with another 2 out of my pack of 5.

Would it be possible if someone very helpful from the USA will set one of my travelbugs off around the US?

This wont be until mid to late october as im on vacation from university where the bugs currently are, but i want to simply activate one, attach something and assign its goals, and hopefully send via mail to someone in America that would be so kind to place it in a cache over there.

I will sort out postage costs obviously and any other cost that maybe incurred, but would be good if someone could help me out so we can have some possible e-mail correspondence bfore this is set out

    Regards

  5. Hi there,

im new to this geocaching hobby, i only have 29 to my name, but look forward to increasing this even more for years to come.

basically im a student, and ones local to me dont get very large, something like an ammo box is very rare,

im intrigued as to how large these caches can get, so if you can post the largest you have found or know about, it would be good!!

also do these get muggled very often, and what precautions are taken to prevent it for the very large caches?

    regards
