Currently 13 teams listed and more expected to turn up on the day.
We have a theoretical limit of 21 teams.
The weather forcast is looking good!

Yes please, if you would, that would be great.
On a seperate matter...
If any Southern Geocachers are thinking that the trip up to Yorkshire is a bit far.... we have just had an enquiry from a Geocacher in Florida!

Just to let folks know...
The organisation of this event has been taking place over recent weeks and we now have selected the cache locations. There are 24 caches, 16 physical, and 8 virtual. There is one bonus cache and one multiple cache.
I can say it has involved a HUGE amount work for both Dylan and myself... far more than we anticipated !
The coordinates will not be supplied until the morning of the event and we hope to upload them using a laptop onto each cachers GPS. If you do not have a GPS>PC cable please let us know before the event and we will be able to supply the coordinates earlier to enable manual entry. (We have a standard etrex cable)
Some new pictures have been posted on the information site that may (or may not ) show actual locations of caches, so if you intend taking part it might be worth studying the pics.
Hope you can support this event.

I agree with Jeremyp. As a Linux user I find this page does not render correctly on either Konqueror or Mozilla.

Maplins have got the 1800mah NMH on buy one get one free at the moment. Thats just under 5.00 for a pack of 4.
Gotta be a good deal?!

I think you will find it has a little knobble on the end which is specifically designed for prising out AA batteries from your GPS thus ensuring no more broken or cracked fingernails.

It would seem that the latest version of the software for the etrex Vista has the facility to display two postion formats at the same time. This means Lon/Lat and OSGB appear on the same screen.

I sent mine last night and there has been no reply so far. Does it rely on kimrobin going through and manually authorising all requests?
Update: I did a search for "geocaching" on the Yahoo Groups web site and no UK group appeared
-------
It's seems to be on a 'go slow'
I got there eventualy... in fact I think I may have got there a couple of times

I agree.... OSGB coordinates would be an excellent idea. I'm currently constantly refering to an OS map and the conversion procedure is seriously finger numbing on my garmin12.

Always bearing in mind that you might get clobbered for VAT, import duty and a clearance fee.

I've just got lots of bits for the Great Yorkshire Cache Hunt at Baker Ross
