And I had really a wonderful gift! What a present. I enjoy the geocoin with the prancing horse. My geocaching name is Twentse Mug because I was born in the east of the Netherlands, a region called Twente with its own language (roughly a mix of German and Dutch) and some local culture. It is also an emblem on the shirts of the footballclub Twente Enschede. And it is also the flag of Kent, England because it is the flag of Twente Netherlands but that's a long history lesson. I recognize the flag of Twente on the geocoin and that is nice.
Anway - I'm smiling, thanks.

So we have a new profile page.
But why is there so much white everywhere?
I think it would be a lot nicer to have everything in tables,
then I would not have to scroll so much.

There are lots of areas in Manhattan where GPS signals are terrible.
To me using a smartphone when cellular service isn't available basically boils down you your habits. A dedicated GPS user is in the habit of always making sure that caches and maps are loaded before leaving home. A smart phone user typically is in the habit of using the device with the expectation that cache data and maps will be available in real time. Getting in the habit of making sure cache data and maps are loaded on the smartphone will ensure there are not surprises when getting into a dead zone.
Not quite true. I don't need cell service on my smartphone to go out geocaching. Plus that I have gpx-files and maps downloaded on my smartphone before I go out. Because here in the Netherlands there are several large areas without cell service.

If you want to do boat accessible caches, and use a smart phone, a waterproof bag like this is essential.
Depends on the smart phone. There are many unboxing underwater videos on youtube for different brands and types of smartphones.

I have a red subaru. My neighbour has a black ferrari. So my conclusion: black cars go faster than red cars. This is what you get comparing "a gps" with "a smartphone".

I don't think that find rates and hide rates are correlated. Here in the Netherlands geocachers have a tendency to place puzzle caches. But when these COs go out and find caches they prefer traditionals because solving puzzles takes too much time. I would like to see these statistics separated by type of geocache.
-
One point I would like to mention. Ground zero of a geocache is also measured with some device with a measuring error. Thus the coordinates of the geocache also will always have an error (from very small to big).

How about adding Travel Bugs with an own icon in the list of geocaches? Because for most geocachers discovering a travelbug is just finding another geocache.

The reviewer will let you know after you published.

I have done a series of labcaches with the bonus formula after labcache 5. There was no problem. (GC8FP54)

So, the labcaches of Project GC were ok when you play them on a laptop in a tent at a mega event but they are not ok when you play them at home?
