So I have been trying to get into the whole geo-caching game and for christmas I received a Garmin eTrex H. I looked up the specs for this online and it is listed as not being geocaching friendly. The next model up the eTrex Legend H seems to be more suited for what I need. Any advice? Thanks all.
Okay everyone will laugh but I really do love my geomatejr - now has pocket queries and I did get the uupgrade kit. Found a lot with it. I also now have Oregon 450 bought from Groundspeak swap but I always go back to my geomatejr.

I am so stumped. Just purchased a wonderful Oregon 450 from here and wanted to webupdate it but it says "No Device Found. You may also need to set the inferface option on your GPS to Garmin host." It is on USB and is on Garmin. Then I put in batteries NIMH and now it goes off when I turn it on. I want to cache with my new toy and need help understanding why it is doing this. I got it last week from a poster on here and it was working so I went and got NIMH batteries - turns off. Is it something I accidentally set it to was wrong, I do not know. Can someone email me and help me. It won't let me download caches from geocaching.com as it won't recognize it. Thanx - I am nucacher wanting to become experienced cacher but will wait for someone to advise. I would love this. I am a nucacher and like you I work work work but I do get time on sundays and I enjoy this although I only have 35 at this time, more DNF. I am definitely interested. Does it come with the cable to charge it and download my pocket queries. I actually joined for the time time this year. I know the Oregon is easy.

I have the Geomatejr and the upgrade kit and I love it. You can get it at REI or online at Amazon with free s&h.
