[new tool in the geocache war or is it cheating ? hmmm]

i've just discovered probably ages after everyone else about googlemap street level photographs on google maps these can be seen by zooming in on a road on google maps doesnt work for everywhere but most places. i had heard of it before but it hadnt occurred to me to use it, you can check cache and dash sites ? check where people say to park is going to be big enough for your car ?

 

just a quick thought , have a look it might help

i know millets sells the basic etrex h but where could i go have a hold on one . im in birmingham at the mo

looking for some advice if i may

 

i currently have the etrex venture (the old green sparkly one (hmm why is it sparkly!?)) and i am thinking of upgrading to the gpsmap 60 cx because ive read in a few places the quadra-helix antenna is better in trees and cover (i was caching and my venture just said no, lol.)

so is the 60cx better than say the equivalent etrex version , because on paper they roughly do the same thing just difference in weight and size.

 

or is maggellan better !?!?! arrrghhhhhh so many choices

freeloader may take time but you can get an attachement of cells

 

which will go on your bag or bike pannier or horse if your that way inclined and charge on the go . dunno how good but nice idea
