  1. Hi!

I'm quite new to geocaching, so I though maybe there is somebody to show me around or keep a company in Swad or Derby? I've done it before few times, but now I don't have company and it does not seem so interesting alone. My only rule - accept different cultures and nationalities.

Hope to hear from somebody soon

    Hi,

I work in Swad, and live in atherstone, so if you want to go out or join us when we cache, drop me a note. Also go to events in the area, as you meet people, which helps.

    Regards

  2. SUCCESS!! All 26 caches in this series and a Motorway Mayhem cache as a bonus, all in 1 day.

This is a great series, and the only one that really gave us any real trouble was 'Yellow' which took around 20 minutes of searching.

HazelS... I will offer the same thing that Baddesley Bodgers offered me, if you want a PAF in case you have any trouble on the day just let me know :(

It looks like you did well enough without a PAF though i have PM'd you my number incase you get stuck on any others

  3. i did them this sunday just gone, check out the logs for gaz zippy and baddesley Bodgers. We only found 22. Please Please be very careful when looking for number bridge 108AA, as the area had drug debris all around.

The whole walk took us 6 hours 15 mins, including doing for some diversions.

If you are doing it this weeknd and you need a PAF, i can supply my phone number

  4. good job I've been thinking up a question!

OK, where was the UK's (in fact, i think the world's) first cash machine/ATM, and who was the first person to use it?

Hmmmmm I remember something about this.

The very first cash machine was installed in a London bank (Barclays springs to mind as I'm sure it was mentioned in one of their adverts at some point). As to who used it first, apart from the installer to test it ;-) Probably someone famous or a director of the bank itself?

on the right track - I know I didn't specify, but I'd like a little more detail rather than London... town is sufficient, not lat/long!

and yes, its someone famous, not the bank director, manager, or someone like that.

PS - yes, it was Barclays, but I decided not to ask that bit!

Reg Varney was the famous person, but i don't know where in london

  5. i have found a travel bug, which is a blue and white china clog, with holland on one side, the number 034 on the bottom, and a piece of card attached with f scheerhourn one one side and GC1HJGO? on the other.

it was found in a TB Hotel in hengelo, but it wasnt registered and i am trying to find its number.

I will also try to get a photo done, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
