I am so excited to see the coin in person, or at least a good picture. We all worked hard on this coin and I think our efforts are going to be rewarded with a really unique coin. I am so glad you guys, River, Lori and Pablo, let me be a part of the coin design committee. Then top it off with you guys all choosing to use my design for the coin, I was and am still on cloud nine!! Luau's just around the corner too, cant wait to meet some of you that I havent met yet there.

Got my order last night and as beautiful as the pics make it look it is even more amazing in person. Great design and details in this one!! Your hard work definitely has paid off in this coin, great job!!

Some of you guys responses are cracking me up!! Imagine basting a turkey with that thing grinning like that!!! ROFL!! opalsns your guesses some of them are hillarious, so in honor of your funny guesses I am adding this...
1) A new line of automotive oil filters.
2) A nanny cam.
Keep them coming I am loving some of these and with as crazy as today is shaping up to be for me I need all the laughs I can get!!

That River is a really good guy, I know my family and I have really enjoyed getting to know him and his kids. Glad to see you guys got to make the best out of a not so great thing, looks like he put some serious thought into his package for you guys. Thats awesome! Keep up the good work Mike you rock!!

WOW!! Those are awesome!! i am loving the antique metals as they do look like a relic some one has recently rediscovered. Very nice job on these, I am going to have to have some when they come in so keep us posted. Any chance of a cointest for one when they are done??

I would tend to think there would be a market for a coin like you are thinking. The premise behind it may not sell as much as the art IMHO. Some might buy it for a cool design while others may buy for the meaning behind it. I would say choose your art carefully and make it appeal to more than your target audience. I am still fairly new to coins but this is what I would try to do if I was thinking of producing such a coin. Just my 2cents. Post a picture when you can I would like to see it! Good luck with it and keep us posted.

Very nice design, love it! Front and back are both awesome!! I see why black nickel didnt work out so well. Little to no color seperation in some areas. I am sure what ever you choose out of the ones you like will look very nice, my vote is polished gold. Bling!

The orange would match my KTM 525 EXC perfectly. I'll have to get one of these coins someday.

Very cool, looks like I have some logging to do. Better to do it now I guess than later when I have more finds. Thanks for the insight on how to do this guys and good topic for a thread PawPaw!

You have to place the coin in the cache when you are logging. After placing your log, you have to grab it again and so on
OK, so I can't go back and start with my first find update it, I have to start from this point and go forward?
Yeah I believe so, I dont think you can roll back the logs so that you could track milage like you are thinking, from your first find until now. I think you would just have to do so from this point on, someone may know better though and hopefully post it up. I would be curious to see if this is possible as well. Good luck and keep us posted on what you find!

Looks like the compass rose is going to fetch the most for this round. For some very desirable coins the bids do seem rather low. I will see if I have any extra cash to do some bidding on some of them for the cause.
