  1. Aloha -

I do not have this coin but I will hopefully be getting the Hawaii version from a fellow geocacher I know. I am also having an event with the other coins being made for 11/12/13, 12/11/13, 12/13/13 which should be available soon as they are being shipped this week. Anyone willing to trade coins? The artwork on the coins I will be getting is listed here: Multi-event 11-12-13 / 12-11-13 & 13-12-13 / 12-13-13My link

Would love to do any interested trades! Will post a picture of the coin when I get them

    Email sent through GC.com!!!

  6. Neat coin, Beverly!!! And, you got one away from Dr.Neal!!!

Did you try putting the number in on the Trackables Page

where it reads "Enter the Tracking Code of the Item:"?

That should give you the name to help with your research!!!

  7. anne.and.eli posted as well stating the following:

"Today I received a package and this missive from Miskatonic University, in Arkham, MA.

This is troubling indeed, and I fear I must consider my next step carefully."

    My response was:

    "WOW--sounds rather ominous!!!

I think the "tokens" are really cool-- but, that's the sort of stuff that intrigues me!!!

I wouldn't mind if they showed up in my mailbox!!!

Wonder if they are a new Mystery Coin---huuummm???"

Maybe these threads will merge to protect us further!!!

  9. I rarely respond to posts, but this one just got to me.

*NOT EVERYONE HAS A SMART PHONE.

*Some cachers don't have time to log when on a road trip

as some may need to SLEEP when they stop at a hotel.

*Many cachers find 50 or more caches and some get hundreds in a day.

*Some cachers wait weeks to log finds/trackables.

*There are many reasons why cachers may not be able to log the same day--

such as NO internet, computer problems, etc....

***THIS IS A GAME and NOT EVERYONE PLAYS IT THE SAME WAY!!!

You are the one who needs to have some mercy!!!

Here is a copy/ paste of your yearly finds:

    Year Total Caches Find Rate

    2008 18 0.5625 caches/day

    2009 112 0.3068 caches/day

    2010 225 0.6164 caches/day

    2011 47 0.1288 caches/day

    2012 57 0.1557 caches/day

    2013 35 0.1892 caches/day

Slow down and you may enjoy life and caching more!!! As stated before, caching is a game!!!

  10. As others have said, quite a bit of thought has gone into my answer.

I'm a saver-- and some of my friends call me a "hoarder"!!! May be true.

But, how can you call saving memories and (lots of) books hoarding???

After knowing my pets were safe, the item I'd grab is a duffle bag containing memories of my parents including my Dad's Flag, his Dad's Citizenship Document, pictures of my family and me,

my parents rings, camera memory cards, my Baby Book, my first Teddy Bear and some other memorabilia from my parents.

If I still had time to rescue more "things," I would gather a picture my uncle painted, my collection of approximately thirty books that have been signed to me by their authors, and, my small, but signed collection of Harmony Kingdom figurines.

While typing this it occurs to me that I've got many things that hold special memories for me because of who or where they've come from. Certainly, some of the things can be replaced, but the memories will stay with me forever.

I've enjoyed reading what the other folks have posted, too!!!

MANY THANKS to DrNeal for this Cointest as it makes us think of what is really important in life--

our FAMILIES, FURRY FAMILIES and FRIENDS!!!
