  1. Very cool, HD! Boy, you sure are creative! We don't have any letterbox caches around here. Maybe I should start one, huh? lol
  2. Thanks CyBret! My two favorite hobbies....geocaching and sweepstakes!
  3. Thanks for the great idea, cachecows! I just made my own labels and will be making CITO containers too. Great way to help the CITO efforts! The easier you make it for people, the more likely they are to do it.
  4. Is CCCooperAgency one person or several? I would like see more cachers hide as many as CCCooperAgency, that way it would not have to travel so far to find caches That's why I am asking. The hides and finds from this group are almost unbelieveable. How can one person have that many finds and still have the time to maintain that many caches? Whoa! They don't. Many of their caches are hidden and maintained by local cachers. They will mail the container to a willing local, who will hide it and watch it for them. Ummm.....okay. I won't go into the unmaintainable cache subject with this one but if that's what they wanna do..... Makes little sense to me.
  5. I have a feeling you are about to be markwelled, yet told not to bump the old thread....lol I am interested in seeing the responses. I too want to plan a night cache and would like to hear about some good examples or ideas.
  6. I don't see the logic in this. It doesn't work here. As soon as someone puts out a new cache, people swarm to it quicker than you can blink your eyes, no matter where or what the cache is. The whole "if you don't like them, hide something better" thing just doesn't work and doesn't really matter to the numbers crowd. I'll bet that most of those people that swarmed to that new cache had fun doing it!! And really who did it hurt? True.
  7. Is CCCooperAgency one person or several? CCcooperagency started as a team consisting as a husband and wife and child but now it is pretty much the wife. She caches pretty much everyday and travels far and wide to do it. I've met her on a couple of occasions and she is a nice lady to boot. Sbux is her daughter and is an equally nice person who would probably have as many finds as her mom if she wasn't a full time student. Thanks Mastifflover! I was a little late on sending my last post. Didn't see yours beforehand.

  9. Feeling guilty, Lazyboy? LOL All I ever see you saying is, "Stop the whining." or "No more rules." People don't want to make new rules to change the game to fit them. They want to keep people from degrading the game so much that it doesn't become fun anymore.

  11. My special thanks go to *gln! He's always been very nice and very helpful in so many ways. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone behind the scenes at GC.com for helping to organize such a great sport. Undying gratitude to Dave Ulmer for getting us all started in this great hobby, sport, game, whatever you call it. Hugs and kisses to all my new geocaching buddies....I won't mention any names.......you know who you are...lol
  12. Free book? Cool! I'll read it and pass it on! Pick me!
  13. Ohmygosh! That made my eyes tear up! How sweet! Congratulations to you both! What a great idea! That will be something she'll never forget!
  14. If you're friggin' crazy, I must be completely psycho. I have all my past finds and about 200 more that I haven't found yet on my watchlist. I love to read about others adventures on finding caches that I have found in the past. I also like to keep tabs on caches I haven't gotten to yet in case they go disabled or archived before I get the chance to hunt them. I printed out all of them beforehand so if anything changes, I need to know before I go.
  15. I agree...and I also believe if there was a limit to the number of micros that could be placed, it would cut down on the crappy caches and crappy locations by a long shot.
  16. I'm not sure if I understand all this but does it mean a virtual can't be approved unless its something that is not marked like a historical site is? Like a place you found out in the woods that does not have markers or signs pointing it out to you? I personally like historical marked sites and such unlike others here.
  17. Eeks! Another creepy one! Did you ever find out what happened to him and how that other guy came to find him?
  18. Ewww...creepy! It would be interesting to see if there is anything buried in those mounds.
  19. Man...that is so sad. All the work gone into making and placing those caches. You could make one killer cache out of all that though.
  20. What is WIFI? I'm looking at www.wifimaps.com but have no idea what it's all about.
  21. This thread superceeded A.S. by a longshot. And only complaining is allowed in here, no abject silliness. Better tell that to the rest of them. The AS silliness started in right on the first page. After reading through to the 5th page, I was already tired of reading all the off topic stuff.
  22. What...we have two AS threads now??
