  1. Finally after many years, King Pellinore breaks the 200 caches found barrier.  He found his first cache in 08/25/2001 and quickly became one of NJ's top cachers.  Petering out at the end of 2006, his long hiatus (until 2019) was broken by a single find in 2013 of https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC3A1QK_block-head  He has been getting around a bit, adding states to his geocaching collection.  Who knows, he might even place another cache!

  2. I just noticed KP and EK10 signed up on the same day... coincidence?

Coincidence? or Psychic Phenomenon?? LOL! gee, W.Urkel, we have never been seen at the same time in the same place! the only question remaining is which one is the evil alter ego of the other?

yeah the group hunt was fun

Avroair, 4 years!?! he who hesitates... and thank you for the pics as well. hard to believe. in a year you'll never know there was anything there at all...

  3. greetings friends. it is with heavy heart that i must announce the end of an era. wheretoVertigo! is wheretogone. And not just the cache either, but the train, tracks, ties, trestle, even the concrete pillars. completely and totally gone. *sigh*

Thank you to all who sought this cache, I hope you had fun!

  4. So many posters seem to be missing the point. It isn't that we can make safe caches that look like electrical boxes, it is that electricians make live boxes that look like geocaches!

Exactly! So we really need to be lobbying the electricians! lol! Seriously though Zeus, I think i understand your concern, I just don't agree with you. The world is a dangerous place and the better you as an individual can deal with that the better. This american notion of making things safe is ridiculous.

  5. Found a Jeep 4x4 travel bug this afternoon and exchanged it for one of mine. Got it home and it appears that it has never been activated in the system. Since I don't have the activation code, I can't activate it. Now what can I do? :P

are your 'oh's really zeros? I had that trouble with mine...

  6. great thread! My answer to this question is going to be quite small as I have already had the pleasure of meeting a lot of you fine folk!

I'll like to meet BassoonPilot, as he was my nemesis for quite some time way back when. If he has quit geocaching i'm not suprised, he had pretty much grown beyond it. Not a cache he couldn't find.

I'd also like to meet Stayfloopy, surely at the top of his game.

Magoo is an amazing cache hider, and I can never find his caches the first time out. Well, almost. :-)

Kitegirl and Natureboy as well, as their hides are notorious!

  7. Thanks everyone!

Joe, I am still so far behind I'm not sure what one it is, but it's looking like it may be BAMF 2. Doubt I'll get caught up to that point before I head up to Massachusetts and New Hampshire for some MORE caches I'll be behind logging.

jeeze, mopar get on the ball will you? lol!

  8. info would be great! that's the rub! Last i heard was he was leaving new england on a northly route, but i had received an email from someone which i have lost. it was someplace in the southwest i think...

  9. hello all! Many moons ago i started a hitchiker called Rogla the mechanical cat (before i knew about travel bugs) and he is lost on his journey from NJ to CA. If anyone has seen him or knows of his whereabouts, please let me know via email to pe11inore@aol.com thanks!

  11. i did a pretty good job of wiping up the area back when i was more active, but as i started to have to drive further and further to get caches, it started to have less appeal. I like being outside, not driving. Unfortuantely i have no real options where i live. So whenever i'd be on some trip for something i'd find a few caches in that area. Now there's a number of new ones near home so i've been picking them up as well. I definitly like Waterboy's ideology, but don't have the stamina for that. Great question though.

  12. gee brian whatever do you mean? lol, I know skully. and it's still not quite what i had hoped, but we will see how long this one lasts. Hopefully a few folks can find it before it goes missing again. I'd love to actually see the log this time!
