  1. ...here's an idea...take a cache that seems to be regularly plundered...try to come up with a time frame (every saturday, for instance) that this happens. Lay in wait on the predicted day, then...jump out and wang 'em on the head with the ammo can!! "Tried to take ammo can, Left bits of skull"

  2. Both of my cache containers are painted altoid tins. One of them got very very wet after a rain once- so I put a plastic bag over it. It seems to be fine. The other one is hidden in a rafter of a park shelter, so there is absoltely no way it could get wet, unless the roof leaked or it fell down (impossible).

The caches I have been to recently have 'TakeAlongs' containers. They seem to work well-even with the lid 5' away, which is how I found one of them!!! B)

  3. I was wondering, could I make a cache where the point is to simply pick up trash wherever you want to? There would be no coordinates, but to log your visit, you would just have to pick up some trash and provide a photo of you or your group with your gps and, of course, the trash. You would also have to tell where you picked up the trash, or the approximate place.

Does this sound like a good idea, or am I simply going too far? Do you think this sort of cache would be approved? What type of cache would I list it under? Would you want to participate in this cache?

  4. A little detour one or two states South would not rankle me, but taking the TB out of the country and to a communist country at that?

what's wrong with it being communist?

by the way, i'm 12, and i think you're going a little to far too.

  5. I recenty made some CITO labels for cannisters, not realizing that it might be illegal to have the CITO graphic on them. Anyone know what would happen if I went ahead and distributed them? I've seen a few around that didn't have copyright Groundspeak on them.

  6. i know, but i don't live in a state that gives out money for recycling

my dad and i were in Rhode Island last summer and came across a park behind a library that had tons of trash and cans. we took them to the local grocery store and made around three bucks. we would have had way more, but for some reason most of the beer cans and bottles didn't work. anyone know why? they weren't smashed or anything. i mean, isn't that what the point of $ for cans & bottles is for? to keep old beer bottles and cans out of the way? it would work really well. drunks would want the extra cents and recycle them, instead of throwing them in a pond or something.
