  1. I own 9 tb's at the moment (only released 5), of these 5 2 are definatly in caches, 1 is listed in a cache but last visiter "cudnt see it so placed his own in there" and 2 have been lost to TB hoarders this year. 1 in the UK and 1 in belgium. I am now realy wary of realsing any more because the system doesnt seem to work anymore. for instance whats the point of becoming a premium member if you haord tb's??? I WISH I KNEW!
  2. I think the best way to look at this one is by looking at what the hider would put in the cache notes/clue. If it is going to read "look for the vegetation boundry and follow this till the stream then bear 62 degrees to the cache site" then a short walk is fine as getting the cache is going to be tricky. BUT, if it reads "accessibly (maybe even viewable) from the footpath, make it a long walk because if it is viewable from the path to a cacher it is also viewable to anyone else and so if you have parked in a forestry commission carpark (lots of people) get the cache a long way away from the crowds or else your cache has a greater chance of being discovered and taken away by the public!
  3. u r right about cleat hill that pic is me. is 005 at the common stu and sarah? the hats seem to be there type of style!
  4. How long will you be staying in lincoln for? I am at uni there (but also support the football club and so will be up for our home games). The first home game i will be there for is the rushen game (14th August) if you are still around! If not try mud mire and coot OD. those are the two caches closest to lincoln
  5. Why not have a meet up on the hebrides/orkney/shtland. Lots of unexplored areas up there I am at the moment spending time in FORSINARD (home of the RSPB resurve). there is a hotel here with over 15 rooms. we could run a weekend here and have a days fishing/walking and a days caching. The railway runs through the hamlet so access is easy too.
  6. one little suggestion, when the football is on Rep. ireland and N ireland are always classed as home nations. why not have the 5 (highest point on each)
  7. OK Here we go with the run down of my favourites 101-200 Best View - Trescore and then. Went there in easter time when the gorse was out and the tide was coming in. Wonderful place OR Carn brea. Beautiful clear sky's could see for miles. Best hiding spot - Vincients Wood. Dont want to spoil it for anyone else but it is a wonderful spot. Futhest distance to walk - Lamora. This had to be atleast a 3 mile walk one way. up and down the side of the cliffs. I must have walked miles and miles that day Worst hiding spot - Bredon Hill. The cache location was so poor that i actually resorted to moving it 15ft (and putting this in my log). As it was no one could find it after i moved it (my location was too good!) Worst weather experienced - Nant-y-gamar. Went up the hill in a howling gale. Extreme weather was that one! Best container - Ribblesford Woods. Now i know what one is!
  8. i think they mean 1 of the watermead selection - ask dan/pid
